I stay there all the time before a cruise. With the lagoon on 3 sides, It almost feels like you're on an island. Love the large outdoor areas.

Are there any stores within walking distance?

I wouldn’t suggest it is incredibly walkable as there are only a few small eateries closest enough on foot. However, there are many amenities within a short driving distance.
