I have yet to stay at their flagship, iconic resort, but for what it's worth I just stayed at their new Las Vegas resort (which opened in December of last year) last month and I can honestly attest it narrowly edged out Encore as my favorite resort in all of Las Vegas. I can unequivocally attest to their Vegas location being absolutely worth it between their gregarious, first rate customer service (I had soooooooo many delightful, jovial conversations and banter with various staff members all across the resort over my three-night stay), the feeling of freshness, vibrancy and newness permeating the resort, and an all-around genuine luxurious feel. I feel when you have a flagship location surpassing 70 years old, it's unavoidable that it's going to show its age in numerous respects and even the most ambitious cosmetic refurbishment isn't going to mask its dated features and attributes. I'm sure at the very least it USED to be THE IT resort in Miami Beach, but even if it isn't these days I still have to tip my hat to them for how influential and gamechanging it was with such a storied history and legacy. I'm certainly not as excited checking out this resort after watching your honest reviews as always, but it's definitely a resort I deeply respect. Thanks as always for your detailed, descriptive reviews! 🙂

Omg, I have been watching you for almost six months and I just realized I wasn't subscribed...hahaha! I subbed right away because you are awesome and I live vicariously through you and you always make me laugh. Also you seem fearless and I bow to that. I also love your wife and her singing and her fearlessness as well.

Love when you say how many people you can fit in the shower makes me laugh

even funnier was pointing out that you can have a conversation in the shower with someone in the bath…Tim must have very close friends 🤣 Joking, of course! Another entertaining and eye opening video!

Yes in that shower you could fit three people in it, or four good friends!

I find resorts that big overwhelming 😮 that’s very pricy for what it is. Thanks Tim ❤

Sorry Tim but I'd rate that 3 star at most. I guess you get a full kitchen because the lifts take so long to arrive. 😂

The lifts probably make everyone late for their dinner reservations 😐

Hi Tim, we love Miami Beach but we stay at Royal Palm. Still expensive but not as much and usually very good. Those cakes did look amazing though 😊 Pity you're not there week after next, it's the Miami Vice 40th Anniversary do at the Avalon on Ocean Drive. Wish I was going! Way too hot at this time of year though. Those lifts would seriously put me off, I hope there were stairs for emergencies.

It is obvious the 3 tower extensions were previously apartment buildings which explains, for one, the broken elevators. A hotel would not have the thought of renovating the elevators, like they spruced up some things in the towers, until the elevators broke down which ends up in negative reviews, It is quite pitiful to see. Tim, if you had known, I would have made the request to stay in the original “half moon” curved tower. I certainly would not be interested in staying in a 1 bedroom apartment layout hotel room. Oh Tom, Miami is not known for white sand. To truly see amazing whit sand in Florida that is so soft… you need to go to any beach town on the Gulf side (western side) where also (contrary to the east side of the state) the water is clear and aquamarine blue - another plus. Once you’ve been on the Gulf side you never want to go back to the eastern side.

As a lifelong Michigander, you couldn't pay me enouggh to live anywhere down south. Florida in particular. Cesspool all around. That said, the refrigerator is a standard size refrigerator in the US. I've been to the UK three times and everytime I was stunned by how tiny your refrigerators are lol. They're so cute lol! Aside from the hot water issue, I really didn't think this was as bad as you say, tbh. And the balcony didn't look nearly as bad as some of the balconies you showed back in the UK. Some of those were seriously gnarly!

So Florida is a cesspool all around????? I've lived here for 16 years and I'm afraid I'm not seeing any evidence that it's a cesspool all around. Maybe you need to get around more than you do.
