As far as I know , they mean the same (depression in certain organs such as lung, kidney, ovary through which structes enter or leave the organ). Earlier hilus word was used, now hilum is used. The origin of these words is Latin language.

I have🥶 Stage 4 non Small 🥶Cell Adenocarcinoma 🥶lung cancer 🥶and hailer lymph . my question is since it since I have it in the one lymph node in the left upper left lymph node it is it going to go into my heart where does it metastasize from that? Where does the cancer go when it’s in your upper left lymph node is it going to attack my heart and I’m starting to hurt and I’m hurting really really really major bad. It feels like a finger is in my back like right where my shoulder blades are is where it hurts is that is that where it is and and how long does it take for it to get out of there to go to another place and how long how many days does it take to go to the brain or another place and thank you for the video and I’m just found out that I have the cancer so I don’t know anything about the cancer it could you write me back please write me back because I don’t wanna waste my time trying to find out all of the answers. No, on the right side the primary bronchus divides into two, one enters the lung above the pulmonary artery a and is known as eparterial bronchus, the other passes below the PA and is called hyparterial bronchus. HYPARTERIAL
