I am jealous! I have always wanted to find a copy of the Stone Age anniversary edition _just_ for that snowy game board. I love me some Stone Age :D Thanks for the comment!

Found your channel recently and LOVE the games you’ve covered. If you’re looking for some other undiscovered games, I’ve really enjoyed Railway Boom, Square On Sale, The Rail On The Hill, and Snow Planner, in the off chance you don’t know of them. Thanks for the videos!

Welcome to the channel and thanks for the love! You're the second person to comment about Snow Planner, so I guess it's time to take a look!!! I will definitely research the others you suggested, too. I always love getting suggestions from viewers who appreciate the same types of games as I do.

Whoa I’m loving that winning system! How have I never heard of this? Never heard of LOX either! Really interested in trying it now, mainly for that winning condition. Super cool video. Many thanks for all your hard work. Keep it up!

Thanks for the comment! Yes, the winning situation might be my favorite part of this whole game. It's super unique. It vaguely reminds me of Knizia's games Tigris & Euphrates or Samurai, but the elimination factor makes it stand alone. Really cool!!!

Thanks! I have never heard of Snow Tails, but looking at the BGG listing, it looks like it might be a gem! Very cool. Thanks for the tip!!!

Great video! My only gripe is that you should have not said The Final Countdown until the end because I don't know if I heard any of your words after that thanks to getting that in my head on loop now hahaha! That programming tho! And the resting, and the values. Every. Single. Decision! Wow. Looks like a Knizia game or that might be wishing he designed this. The dice rolling for goods populating and the luck reminds me of Age of Steam. Added Himalaya to my Want to Play list, which is pretty standard for UG. I'd also like to know how Lords of Xidit compares.

Haha I have had that song in my head nonstop since making this video 😂😂. Hey, good call on the dice rolling for goods and Age of Steam comparison! It definitely feels similar, and you can be more strategic with it than it seems at first. All the things you mentioned are exactly on point with what I love about it. Hope you get to try it soon!!

This looks like something I'd enjoy! I have heard of Lords of Xidit, but not this!

You guys would absolutely love this game. I can almost guarantee it based on the games you usually play. It’s really a blast even though it’s not a perfect science. I would say it’s a similar type of experience to Livingstone (vastly different game obviously, but similar vibe).

I remember Lord of Xidit not having a die and using another method with the tiles in order to distribute them, so the randomizer effect was different. Also, regarding the expansion, I'll quote an answer from the forums: "The expansion gives you bits for a fifth & sixth player, extra resource cubes, plus three optional rules. 1. Allergic to Chaos: Replace the base game's d20 with a set of tokens (included) numbered 1-20 when determining resource + order placement. 2. Political and Religious Upheaval: rule change: house / temple / monastery points values reversed. 3. Long Range Inventory: a variation of the advanced Complete Inventory rule in the basic game." It looks like 1) made the game closer to LoX. Finally, and on a totally different note and as a big off-topic, dude, do NOT ever play Unicorn Overlord (videogame). It is a horrifyingly addictive game and now I need to get some help. XD

Thanks for the great info! It looks like a lot of the changes are based on the advanced rules, which I’ve never tried. But it does sound like the resource population might be less random, which would add a different layer to your movement plans. I’m glad you gave me the heads up on Unicorn Overlord 😂 I haven’t heard of it, but if I ever came across it, I would definitely be intrigued enough to try it 😂🦄

only snow games I know are K2 and Snow planner Actually I know Enldess Winter too, but don't like thst one
@undiscovered_games5 күн бұрын
I have never played any of those! There's the zombie game Dead of Winter, which I don't personally like, but a lot of people love it. Also, there's the Stone Age anniversary edition, which has a snowy board (another commenter mentioned that one). There's a Knizia family game called Penguin Party, and another Knizia game called Whale Riders which has a snowy/icy board. And I have about 3 others in my collection that I am saving for future episodes ;) Regardless, it seems like there is a shortage of snow games, especially because people love playing board games in the winter months! Thanks for the comment!
