You’re making more videos?!!! Yay!!!!! Seriously my absolute favorite KZbinr by far and I follow numerous soap makers. You are THE BEST. Best videos, easy to follow, you provide options, you do the best summaries, with showing soapcalc, not to mention a true artist. Good quality ingredients as well as a beautiful work of art. Thank you so much for doing these!

I made this soap and am so pleased with results. I used your recipe and method exactly ( except I used a different essential oil) and am so impressed with the lather and creaminess. Others I gave it to have said the same. This is one I’ll make over and over. Thank you so much.

That’s a nice tool to bevel. Where can you purchase it? With a 12% SF, it’s not drying at all? Does it have nice exfoliation with the 10% salt?

As always lovely video, thank you! Is the purpose of the salt to make it scrubby or to make it harder?
@hollysoapmaking10 ай бұрын
Thank you! The salt doesn’t really make the soap scrubby (since it’s fine and dissolves quickly), but it does make the lather feel different (probably due to the softening effects), and I just love how my skin feels after using one, even a low salt bar like this one.
@lynnweber36685 ай бұрын
When do you blend the salt into the mixture? I must have missed this in your video! Can't wait to try!

Holly, I just made your Himalayan soap bars. I did not use the coconut milk. I used coconut powder. My question is how long do these cure for and I also want to say I love your channel. It’s very inspirational. Thank you so much for posting your videos.

Turned out gorgeous! Question, wanting your opinion. If I made something similar, how do you think adding sugar to the lye water to help the lather would do? Thank you!!
@MsAubrey10 ай бұрын
I would add sugar to the water before mixing with lye. It can help boost the bubbles, but in a salt bar, coconut, palm kernel, or babassu are going to be your top bubblers as well as the addition of castor.

Thank you for another great video. I’m inspired to try the recipe. I’ve read warnings that salt bar batter can harden very quickly and can be hard to cut. You didn’t seem to have that problem. Is that because at 10% it’s not an issue?

Did the grapefruit fragrance stick for long with this blend , I had made a blend with cedarwood and peppermint but it just went off. I think you used a stronger concentration and also more fragrance oil 50 mg / kg than 31. Am I right?
