I can't help but feel grateful to exist in the same era as her.

Himari is so incredibly exceptional. A little girl who plays like the best top violinists who ever lived. A child with the genius and wisdom of a truly great person.

Bravissimo Himari! You are one of the greatest prodigy on violin in the world in this moment.
Wow. As a former high-level violin student... this brought tears to my eyes. I later produced about a dozen recordings for violinist Arturo Delmoni, who had been a student of Mr. Heifetz's. I also produced the last recorded performance by Metropolitan Opera soprano Kaaren Erickson. OK! TONGUE-IN-CHEEK HUMOR ALERT. (I wonder how one says that in Japanese.) I do not mean to offend ANYONE. But this is what passed through my mind, as I watched and listened: "Well, NOW we know why Mr. Heifetz recorded almost no Paganini.* Mr. Heifetz's Guardian Angel whispered in his ear, 'Be careful! Decades hence there will be a young lady from Japan called Himari, and... well, Mr. Heifetz, I am sure you can figure it out!'" *Three Caprices, and the Moto Perpetuo. No Concertos. NIL NISI BONUM and all that, but... I heard Eugene Fodor play this live, with the Nashville Symphony, in 1976, and... that was nothing like THIS. To get all Trekkian on you all, May She Live Long and Prosper! john

Friend, maybe he also avoided Paganini for other reasons... This piece has so little depth of melody, just virtuosity

@@davidpack5902 No, it is as @marksjohn2687 says: Heifetz knew he wouldn't be able to compete with Himari.
