Great vid 🤗 ,got my cruiser about 4mths ago ..I’m absolutely loving it ..,it’s like a new lease of life for me ..just wanna ride every day ..enjoy ,I’m getting one for my partner as well she’s a bit shorter & wants a step thru ..probably wont use it as much as me so thinking of getting a good folding one with dual suspension ..so i can chuck it in my day van if going farther afield .also just got a double fat tyre clamp on tow rack for the camper van for trips out together 🤗 we’re both 70 so a great alternative to the beckoning mobility scooter 😂 got a few years left in us yet ..these e-bikes are such a buzz discovering new places to ride out in the wilds even in your own area ..places you couldn’t easily discover before 🤗👍🖖

It’s illegal to use throttle in the uk for more than 4mph. It must be ridden on pedal assist only. With the bike being able to be ridden over 4mph using the throttle it’s illegal on UK roads

I think in the Uk a hand throttle is illegal on a pedal assist bike unless for walk assist if my facts are correct if you multiply 48volt by 17.5 amp battery that gives you 840watt hr that’s a decent size . Great review Mel real world test.

Hi Mel From the Himiway website this is a Class 2 Electric Bike "Class 2 electric bicycle" shall mean an electric bicycle equipped with a motor that may be used exclusively to propel the bicycle, and that is not capable of providing assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of 20 miles per hour. The maximum motor-assisted speed is the same as that of class 1. The difference is that the electric bicycle in class 2 has a throttle design and can use pure electric mode without pedal assistance" These are not road legal in the UK, would hate for you to get caught !

Hi Mel, dont you have to wear bike helmets in England, Over here in Brisbane its the Law for Pushbikes, Electric Bikes and Scooters plus Skateboards

Like most battery cycles claims on distance, they are way off and misleading. They seem to base figures on having a physique and weight similar to a pair of braces, optimised for cycling on the flat in no headwind at the slowest motor speed. My Swytch claims 30km, but need to recharge after little more than 10km.

Agree,particularly recommending the bike after a short simple road test. Need to see how the bike operates over the terrain it was designed for. So any unanswered question. Essemtially a poor review.

Hi Mel I love watching your channel but just to give you a heads up, plz check the law but I'm sure peddle assist bikes are ok here in the UK but pull back a go electric bikes are not and the police are clamping down on them, just Googled before I sent this you have to peddle for the motor to engage not pulling a throttle... I only say this as a friend paid good money for one and had it took off him.... love the content looking forward to watching more of your vids

Thank you I will have to check it out I’m sure it won’t go without pedalling but it does have walk assist on throttle but will not work whether you’re actually riding the bike so it is a grey area for sure 👍

Love the content thu I have learned a lot off you so thank you👍 My boy dose ikr kart racing all over the country and its expensive enough so we camp in the van every second weekend originally we was in a renault trafic tring to sleep with the kart in the van was a nightmare, so now we have a renault master the longest one and extra high top so we can have a big enough garage and still use tge space above for sleeping, I'm putting a shower Internet solar windows so starting from scratch... you cover everything I need apart from the shower... but then last week I think you had that guy on doing his shower...... and you made a good point about gassing yourself out... so thanks again... I'm looking in to all that... vetting and ventilation 👍

It has got a throttle but it is just for walking assist and if you twist it while you’re riding it actually makes the bike go slower 👍

@@BigVanSmallWorld Are throttle bikes allowed UK? UK laws do not allow any electric bike with twist-and-go throttle. A throttle assist allows users to thrust the bike forward using the turning motion on the handlebar. The UK only permits electric bikes that have a pedal-assist motor.
