This song, Better Than Me and Hinder in general have a huge impact on my life. My father left me and my mother when I was 7. Was incredibly stressful for us. But perhaps the worst of it was my mother's broken heart. I was really all she had, and I never left her. Yeah. This song is more of a sad, depressing song disguised as a love song. In situations like this, no one is happy. The man is torn between the ex and the current girlfriend. The ex seems to keep calling the man and reminding him of the past either to torture him or because she hasn't moved on either. The current girlfriend is dating a man who hasn't moved on from his ex.
