I’ve never seen the ZT CF on camera before. It looks amazing, way better than the full Ti version. I’ll have to buy one once I financially recover from the XM18 I just bought. Also, if I’m not mistaken the 0562 is a much older design than the Gen 6 XM18. I’ve heard that it used to actually be better than the older Gen Hinderers.

WOW man!! Your ZT titanium version looks FANTASTIC!! Where did you get all the shiny hardware for it?? I just sold my Ti version, in part so I can buy other higher end knives (including Hinderers- so far I’ve bought an XM-24 and a Project X). But man… if I’d known I could make it look THAT good, I may’ve kept my ZT!! Great video! ;-}. MM

a fixed blade would be considered harduse. For folding harduse knives I would say the cold steel 4max or ad-10 will beat all framelocks. no matter how rugged framelocks are they will always fail. I used to own a production black g10 hinderer xm18 and it had a lot of hotspots. I ended up gettjng rid if it. maybe all titanium xm18 is a different.

i had many zts (0562, 0450, 0609, 0393glcf, 0801, 0308blkts) and aside from a slightly wonky edge on the 0393glcf (nowhere near as bad as some benchmades are) all of them literally were perfect. now i had only 1 hinderer xm18 to compare and maybe i was unlucky, but holy f* was that a dud! when running on bearings the blade was so off that it literally rubbed against the liner (slightly better on washers, but still way off), action was slow and strange no matter what i tried and the detent was completely garbage, one of the worst i've ever experienced on a knife. the most was annoying thing though was the customer service, or better put, the lack thereof. tried to reach them multiple times in the course of the next months, but never got a response.

Yeah no offense to hinderer but I'd rather pay 315 for the new magnacut zt 0562 then 500+ on a hinderer and I'm not saying the hinderer isn't worth it but I'd be much more willing to actually use the ZT and the hinderer would just sit in my safe

Medfords are absolutely not overbuilt, they're actually underbuilt in the areas that determine overall strength of the knife. USMC FF, for example, has no shouldering whatsoever. That's hard to even call _built,_ in 2023, let alone overbuilt.
