@saurabhchaudhari8954 жыл бұрын
Tim Keir You must always follow religion to reach back to God. Leave the preaching part to God himself. God will help his followers through various ways. And there is no person who can experience third eye power. It is actually one of God’s potency. My advice would be, you follow jesus christ but don’t defame other religion. There are many ways to reach God. You choose one way and follow that path.

If you were an online guru then I would be your deciple. You are indeed the best teacher I have ever come across who accomodate both scientific and vedantic world view so harmoniously. There is a point where science gives in but our sages of vedic age thought about it and shown the way forward so clearly.Always wondered how the same questions have been asked by people again and again across ages and how beautifully they were answered by our sages in the form of upanishad and vedas so clearly!Thank you for sharing such profound knowledge.

Please do not equate Vedanta with science. There is a very deep thought process behind philosophies like Vedanta but all of its conclusions can be arrived at through reflection and meditation, so it is very self oriented and intrisically directed. The science of today is looking at reality from an external perspective , and trying to look into the nature and ingredients of reality which is vastly different from introspection, in that there is a precision of process and a collaborative effort needed to reach conclusions. Do not trivialize this immense cooperative human endeavour by saying that sages from thousands of years ago reached the same conclusion through meditation.

The idea in science is that when the body dies, then that's it, all gone; no consciousness anywhere. This idea can only come about through an error: But even in science, there is a gradual recognition that consciousness could possibly be all there is. For in reality it is always we as the ONLY consciousness there is. We have a body (temporarily) with which to act and interact with other manifested forms of that SAME consciousness. - It is not that we ARE the body, we only use it What we REALLY are is not anything that can be seen. It is part of the seamless garment, the never-ending spiderweb of the same "stuff" that is everything and that makes everything out of its own energy.This lecture was going right to the heart of the matter. When the shift occurs, it is a shift from the illusory mini-consciousness to the consciousness, the big one, that ALL THAT IS AND EVER WAS AND EVER WILL BE - and that it is what "I" have always been: the "Tat tvam asi" of the Chandogya Upanishad. Namaste

My humble pranams to you swamiji. Your talk on every aspect of upanishads & vedic knowledge and spirituality ,is simply amazing. i would say that you have an inborn talent of explaining even the most difficult topics of vedanta with utmost clarity ,rationally . I would be happy if you would be invited to give talks on our vedic wisdom to places of higher learning,such as, Harward University; cambridge uni; MIT; etc; May Lord Krishna give you such opportunities ,in order to spread our vedic philosophy ,which are unknown to the western world. I hope that would have heard powerful speeches of "swami Chinmayanandha " in UNO etc; wihic were full of clarity;thought provoking; rational; After that great acharya, i see in you the same qualities. Iam a retired professor ,senior citizen . May God bless you for your commendable work, as an acharya. Shall i request your goodself to contact the western universities for spiritual talks on selected topics of - Who am I? Truths in upanishads etc; They are longing to know answers to the unknown aspects of vedic philosophy. I have the good opportunity to listen to all your videos in you tube. Hari om.

Rituals are used by some seekers to align their body/mind with a higher truth through repetition and the reinforcement of ideals. The point is to bring the minds resting state closer to the awareness of Brahman/God/supreme consciousness.

I have question.. If it is the same consciousness pervading through all life forms, then why does an individual have to realize the consciousness beyond the body and mind for himself? Realizing the consciousness for yourself would mean you have a unique identity who has to connect to the oneness or else take rebirth What is that identity who has to take rebirth? How do we explain that?
@kashish071119887 жыл бұрын
you have got the right point. When you realize what it means to be one, you realize that you are not the one taking rebirth, you do not exist literally, hence you stop caring abt rebirth and become free of the circle of life and death. Nirvana is not a place to reach but just a realization. and there is no method to it, it can be reached in infinite ways.
@saibarathy7 жыл бұрын
I feel since we forgot our own identity ie true consciousnesses we are in the cycles of birth death and in the process attracted by material world thinking that is real. That is the reason we are in the process of realising true consciousness though we are actually a part of it.
@ilikestarsun6 жыл бұрын
I have the same question. When people say "my" past lives, or reincarnation as a soul going from one body to the next in order to eventually realize it's pure conciousness and end the cycle, what is it that continues to the next body? In other words, if I am the pure conciousness in all beings, then aren't my past lives ALL lives. And if so, then aren't I the conciousness that experienced Buddha's life and became liberated? But if I am then I'm not liberated cuz I'm back in a body. I've experienced this knowing of ultimate oneness but when I try to think about it I come to these questions. Maybe I haven't realized it deeper yet

@Tim Keir What rubbish!!! How childish and devoid of intellect do these stupid quotes sound like. Please prosletyse and quote your biblical mumbo jumbo elsewhere. We do not need it. We are talking some serious philosophy here.
@mounikasampangi35892 жыл бұрын
ilikestarsun again its like you are thinking you are this present body or past body… But the truth is since you are the conscious, which means that you are the enlightened one, not the one before you got enlightened, not buddha not you, but the one enlightened then your past lives don’t matter because you are already enlightened. Since now you are not enlightened, you still think you first need to become like buddha and then you’ll reach enlightenment. Because you are still associating yourself with the present body. But only the enlightened (past tense) knows that you have already surpassed this present body, the buddhas experience and now you are enlightened. Its like what you think is your present body is the enlightened past. The enlightened one is your future self.😅 Since time is relative and is maya, you think this present is present. But your present is the the enlightened one’s past. You (present body) are the enlightened ones past.

Thank you for an amazing lecture, Swami ji. Swami ji, I have a few doubts and questions about consciousness. At what time consciousness enters the body? Let's take an example of test-tube babies. Is it in the embryo in the test tube even before the fertile egg is ingested in the body? does it come when the baby's brain is developed? does it come when the fertile egg is ingested in the female body? Is consciousness only the watcher or does it take some actions? if it takes action, it looks like consciousness can be trained to do anything at any level be it emotional( if someone is a butcher, his experience will become easy and easy with time). The brain can be trained at all levels, physical, phycological, emotional, does it mean we are training consciousness. Animal's instincts, physical, phycological, emotional are coming from its DNA does it mean consciousness is also coming from DNA ?
@prathvikbhandary31022 жыл бұрын
Consiousness is the jeevatma part(soul),the only way to experience the Jeev Atma is consciousness (pragyna) .Example : If you drink any juice like lime,orange,watermelon all are different taste drinks but the content is liquid that is water.Here water is soul but forms are different that is consciousness. Various human beings have different conscious knowledge from their past to present, that's the reason it takes too long to control, change or evolve in consciousness,as you go deeper you move from conscious state to jeevatma state that is same as separating lime juice to water. The water is same as same as our jeevatmas. The soul is ultimate truth if you realise your soul then you realise paramatma that is daivatma( Atma of god) There were you obtain moksha(solace).
