Fully agree. If anyone wants to follow any path, we should be open. I am strongly against any forced conversion though. New york state has now declared Diwali as a holiday and we are very happy! here in India we are just thinking of ways and means to stop Christmas celebrations. It doesn't work like that. If other Christian countries are acknowledging Hindus and allowing them to co-exist, we should not have a problem at home and stop this Ghar Vapsi business. Personally , I feel hinduism is a great religion and a great way of life. I am a Hindu too by being in Hindustan. It is a 2 way street. We all just have to remember that.

But it is Wrong.Actually There are Two Buddhas Sugata bhuddha and Gautama Bhuddha. Vishnu’s avatar was Sugata Bhuddha Not siddhartha Gautama. siddhartha gautama was born in lumbini whereas Sugata bhuddha was born in Bodh Gaya (Kikata).Sugata Buddha is regarded as the 9th avatar among the Dashavataras of Lord Vishnu.According to the Agni Purana, Vishnu assumed this incarnation on earth due to the daityas defeating the devas in their battles. In order to restore the natural order, he deluded the asuras with his teachings. This caused them to abandon the path established by the Vedas and convert to Buddhism, causing them to be devoid of dharma. This caused them to become dasyus at the end of the Kali Yuga, causing them to be cast off to hell, devoid of good conduct.

Buddhism is already part of sanatan dharm.. The word Gautama, yashodhara (wife ), Rahul (son), Siddhartha are all Hindu boys names.. Only thing is he didn't accept Vedas and had some different philosophy... And the word Hinduism came later to describe people here.. And thsoe who followed Buddha became Buddhist. Why are they calling him separate religion? Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta philosophy is same.. Mudras which Buddha did are part of sanatan dharm only, meditation techniques are there in Hinduism also.. Om syllable is used by all three Jainism Hinduism Buddhism.. Karma concept, past life concept are all there in all three of them... Only thing is Jainism Buddhism didn't accept Vedas Upanishads and had their own little different philosophy.. So they are all branches of Sanatan dharm only.. One tree called sanatan dharm and it's different branches like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism

Believe me Buddha never create any new philosophy. Buddha did the same as Krishna said in Gita but in a tricky way. Give up all karmakand portion of Vedas and experience the truth. Gautama Buddha also did the same thing. Even he praised aryas and Vedas too. But only to those who know the supreme truth.
