Offcource not 6:49 - I think she doesn't know about history that much !!! I think KRISHNA was Shudra according to modern context ! But according to all of our historical documents JATI & VERNA are different , which is nothing like caste! JATI means your lineage and Verna means what kind of works you do ............ Which is ruined by britishers which is their tack-ticks in every country ! RAWANDA has no Brahmins to make the caste .....who made it ? Have you heard of any damn story of Indian before Britishers and Mughals doing caste based discrimination ??? If you read Mahabharat KARNA was taught by Drona but drona didn't gave him some weapons not because of his caste because he was not worthy. And Eklavya was a song of King who was in opposite of Drona's own country ......that's why he didn't taught him

I am Chinese. I went to South Korea for a business trip for the first time more than ten years ago. One day I was a guest at a Korean's home. After the meal, his wife cut some watermelons for me and asked me: Do you have watermelons in China? You probably haven't eaten it before, right? I was very shocked. I didn’t want to tell her that watermelon is one of the most common fruits in summer in China. I believe she meant no harm, just ignorance. So I answered her: Oh, what kind of magical thing is this? I have never seen and eaten it.

🔸True but i think everyone regardless of country has some stereotypes about a country they don't know of. Cuz there are 180 countries in the world.& unless you've travelled there & know ppl from there, no one can be completely free of them. 🔹even if they were taught it in history books, they cant cover everything/update stuff & even if its checked online, there can still be stereotypes if source is incorrect. 🔹eg.some ppl regardless of country think lot of koreans look like kpop stars lol & sure many do focus on their looks in korea, tho not everyone, depending on where you go.but not everyone is gonna look like that.i got this info from webtoons/kdramas/articles/korean ppl & havent actually lived there so i could be wrong) but still.. 🔹& having stereotypes doesn't make you a bad person, just that know & acknowledge (if possible) that you could be wrong & say that you're just trying to dispel any stereotypes that you have.than just bluntly asking questions as if they are the facts & presuming someone's bad due to hearsay about their country without trying to find out more. 🔹& as long as you're polite, hope that other person wouldn't be offended. 🔹i do get the discomfort of being asked the same questions tho. 🔹but being racist like getting hateful looks/hate comments, thats a bigger issue & that too comes from social brainwashing that these ppl come & take our jobs etc but still just wish ppl stop doing it. No matter what country. 🔹theres one thing she didn't quite cover fully tho,she said that its not allowed officially but exists in older generation. 🔹but didn't mention that casteism (caste based discrimination) is still heavily alive in some parts of india especially in rural.& for urban area,in ppl that are of older generation some may still discriminate. 🔹& due to people not understanding reservation system young ppl are angry at each other too. So it depends on what type of society you've lived in. 🔹& i understand why she didn't say it tho,cuz it d seem like telling your raw social issues to other country.but just saying.

@@arnabdas7019man it's a long story man but for this scenario. My point is a bit different actually by NE I was talking about their college students man. I've no problems with NE Tourists and stuff but current gen college students are kinda hateful like we got from delhitis and some kids from south India! (No joke man but I'm tired) I never disagreed with the fact that they faced issues and their patriotism can't be described in words but I'm pointing out this "weird hatred for some sorta assumptions and their ignorance" I won't say all NE college students are hateful (if that's the point then my cousin never marry his gf from Arunachal) My actual point is why don't mumbaikers, south Indians,NE,other north Indians come up,solve & sort their issues out! Atleast 90% of it! Because mainlanders have no idea because of these hateful actions other states has to suffer hatred, generalizations and stupid stereotypical behavior from NE and other states neighboring NE. Bengal,Odisha are one the living examples of that believe it or not But when it comes to NE they usually gets away with it and always try to justify it. It's like "blacks can't be hateful towards other races only non-blacks can" these stereotypes of Koreans is also present in the minds of NE Indians because this and that happened in Delhi back in 2012. And resting my case I would say you can't finish it 100% but education and awareness can reduce it atleast 80%-90% of it.

She's spot on about racism - there's more indirect racism these days rather than direct racism. Even in Australia, where I live, I'm facing indirect racism more often than direct racism. And it's not just white people, but also Asians, Arabs, and even Indians at times. I'm not Indian, but I get identified as Indian because of how I look. She's probably facing far less racism because of how good she looks. Most of the others may not be fortunate as her. So She's spot on when she said other's experience could be different. Where I'm originally from, we also have had a stereotype for Korea (probably before 70s). Shady, poor neighbourhood are also referred to as Koreas. That's no longer there due to economic development and my own people growing out of ignorance.

As a Korean, I love Indian food. It's one of the best in the world. It's absolutely delicious. I believe it's one reason Indians are so healthy. Congrats on the success of RRR! The world is gonna see alot more Indian shows because of Netflix. It is investing alot of money there. Because of Netflix and the internet, we are seeing an explosion in non english content and less english domination. It is a new world we live in. Also, I would like to apologize when Koreans sometimes cause offense. Part of it is that the internet magnifies every mistake. But part of it is that some Koreans are ignorant and even racist. It exists in all countries. But I believe Koreans must never do it to Indians who have been so appreciative of Korean culture. Indians are intelligent, hardworking people who have so much in common with Koreans. Let us repay Indians for their kindness toward us. I think alot of Koreans aren't aware how much India, especially its young people enjoy Korean pop culture. They should. Let us build bridges of friendship with the great country of India. Also, Indians are great leaders in business and politics. I believe Vivek Ramaswamy will be president one day. I totally support him. Indians, I urge you to support him too. He is what America needs. India has been subjected to stereotypes and prejudice for decades now and not just in Korea, internationally as well so it's time this situation changes. It's clear no? As Indians we tend to always say we're the best, we're the smartest we take too much pride in ourselves..when the reality is not. We cannot stay humble when some foreigners come to the slums of our country and say that it's disgusting. And some Indians want to hide that from our identity..we say we compete with china..but do you know how far developed China is? We are lagging behind due to our corrupt government, bad policies, illiteracy and traditional mindset. Yes we are changing for the better but that won't completely eradicate all the slums in india in 50 or maybe 100 years. Let's not say india is huge..China is huge too..but they're government really cares about their people. Ours failed us. The privileged and smart indians also failed us..they go abroad to serve other nations. Meanwhile we're stuck with the average intellectual who are worried about financial stability.

Varan and Jati which would roughly translate to lineage/ancestral occupation was turned into "caste" system, it was meant to categorize people on basis of skills not birth and it can be seen in other culture as well like Japan and even in Europe where surnames like Baker or Smith could tell you their ancestral occupation. When East India company arrived in India they praised the Indian education system and family values but after involvement of crown in the company you can see the shift in their writing, they start depicting India as very savage and backward place just to justify colonisation. Now, we are taught caste system in our books just how it was written by the British and as a result, many Indian think we were a casteist society for ages.

Even when you're applying to state government's scholarships here they'd ask you about your caste tho they don't rely on it entirely, they would be usually focused around your family's financial situation but yes scholarships at university level here in Maharashtra are segregated based on caste as in different castes have different types of scholarship & according to their caste the income limit mentioned in each scholarships change but you also have some non caste based scholarships like those given to meritorious students & hostellers + the EWS quota ones

Its just that they mostly covered it under the rug There was Nirbhaya like incident happened in South Korea 2015 named Yoon. Addition: 6:22 i must ask you if the caste system has existed for thousands of yrs. How come Chandragupta maurya became a Chakravarthy King ??? You are not breaking stereotypes but creating. Before the British there was no caste system. Go read Macauley's survey of India in 1811, india has 100% literacy because of hindu schools called gurukuls. In those gurukuls, despite any caste, creed, gender etc all children used to study together. They even would choose different job profiles other than their family like a shudra artisan family born child could also become a business person aka vaishya When the whole world was against female education, these same Gurukuls had a higher participation rate of females than males. They also used to learn Ayurveda medical sciences, yoga, vedic maths, geometry, martial arts, swordmanship, Sanskrit etc . But Britishers banned the gurukuls , & since female education in early Christian schools was not allowed. Female illiteracy increased in india. The thing we call Grandma's natural hack is actually Ayurveda which has been passed down from generation bcoz Gurukul education was banned in india If caste system existed, then King Shantanu shouldn't have married a shudra family born woman Satyavati in Mahabharat. If caste system existed , then "Vedvyas" a shudra family born shouldn't be able to become brahmin & write all Hindu Vedas, Upnishads, Puranas. Please 🙏 don't create false stereotypes. About present scenario, Go read Pew research, 87% indians dont have caste discrimination thing, another 13% are just government welfare schemes for lower caste people created by British. About marriage, if marriage among the same caste existed for thousands of yrs, we should have been suffering from "Inbreeding Depression" but we are not. Hence it is proved, these kinds of marriages are happening only for barely 150 yrs not thousands otherwise you should have been mentally retarded. That's basic Science

@@sheebaradhakrishnangrExactly. Rice has to be eaten with hand - right hand. Never use two hands to tear a nan or chapathi. One can mix rice with rasam/charu/sambhar/daal with hand better than with a spoon or a fork. No contest really. Same with dahi/perugu mxed with rice. Eating with a hand is the right way to go - any food. Everybody washes their hands and feet and wash their face before sitting down on the floor to eat. Eat from a banana leaf.

Regarding eating with hands, I agree that it depends on food but it also depends on where you eat. If you have food in your home you'll probably eat rice with your hands... But if you go to a restaurant you might use spoon to eat but I sometimes eat with my hands even if I'm in a restaurant, I'll wash my hands after having the meal that's it.. Edit: (I don't know abt other states but as far as south Indian states are concerned this is how it is, in many families)

Loved the video ❤️ Just one thing : Caste system is not like what you are thinking. Infact caste is itself a Portuguese word and in Vedic Era(basically ancient India) it was referred as Verna System which means your duty or profession for livelihood or any other of the same kind. And Verna was not by birth it was by actions. A person who was educated, intellectual, wise and had spritual knowledge was called a Bharmin. A person who was engaged in Military and also Kingship was called a Khatriya. A person who was engaged in Trade and commerce , agriculture was called a Vaishya. A person engaged was was engaged in services (non intellectual services) was called a Shudra. And it was not by birth but by the choices one have made. But then gradually with time the other generation started opting the exact profession as of their parents and then the legacy continued. (And then started the discrimination.) And also even today if someone get proper scriptural knowledge from a Guru(Teacher) then he/she can become a Bharmin. Add on:--> the Britishers were the one how made the fire go more violent. They created more divisions in the society as per their "Divide And Rule" Policy. (In fact my Grate grandfather's title was Das( A type of Shudra Verna) but my grandfather's title was Chetry(Khatriya Verna)

It means caste system is not a Hindu practice then why Hindu people still practice it ? and it doesn't matter what written in religious books or granth but what is seen practically and practiced is matters. for example eating meat and fish is totally banned but now people doesn't care about this even many brahmin stared to eat meat.

@@graphindi @Graphi Kunal yes the discrimination is still prevalent and I acknowledge your Openion 👍. At ancient times we had The Verna System but we don't practice it any more. We need to eradicate the present or modern caste system (I am not talking about st sc OBC general etc) in our country. Still there are people who thinks as if they are of some superior Gene. And we can clearly notice these things. I have always tried my best (in individual level of course) to eradicate the mentality that still prevails.

@@safz15 So you can give speech on women rights while the truth is completely different, and I can't compare Bible with ayurveda, you watch BBC news on India or communist propaganda news, all women in India know Ayurveda, invest themselves, India is such a country. Where women are worshipped, our Lord Krishna and Rama are known by their mother's name and not by their father's name. Even mother is considered greater than God. Even for the third gender, festivals are organized in India since 4000-5000 thousand years, blessing the new born child from the third gender is also considered auspicious for thousands of years.

There is a scientific reason for eating by hands. Before the food goes into the stomach, you smell the food, feel the food, and taste the food to let your digestive system know what type of food is coming to your system. Eating by hand is also useful to mix varieties of dishes before eating. People eats with their hands also know that they need to wash the hands before touching the food. I use hands, fork/spoon/know, or chopsticks.
