Bhagwad Geeta, is an ancient Indian book which talks about the conversation between Lord Krishna and Warrior Arjuna in the midst of Mahabharat (an ancient Indian war and the largest one ever) as well. Many celebrities in the West have also talked about it and how it totally their perspective of life and everything. The Guru ji was talking about Earth, Moon and Sun's orbits, expanse and their relation to each other quoting the ancient Indian texts. People in the west often call Geeta as Hindu's Bible but it's not. There are tons Ancient Indian texts which all talk about different walks of life and there is no single book Hindus are to follow. For us, it has always been about questioning, reasoning and finding things and not prescribing to one particular school of thought. Geeta is the most talked about because people really feel the change after reading it.

Chandra is the moon, which rotates around the Bhu mandal which is earth, which rotates around the Surya Mandal (Sun). The Surya Mandal itself rotates around something. All mentioned in the scriptures many 1000s of years ago. The distance between the earth and sun is also very accurate in the scriptures.

bhgvat gita is the holy book of hinduism but is universal in nature and is the most famous text of hinduism ,we don't have one book we are the people with libraries but for starter its a good introductory text of spirtuality.
