@@dontstare2781 hiiii , I have gone through some of books , I would say first watch video of swami sarvapriyanda , or read some bhakti related granthas like naarad bhakti sutra .first get to know which you want to follow bhakti yoga , karm yoga , jnana ( gyaan maarg ) , then I would say , develop patrta in yourself ,like for jnana marga , Sadhan chatusthay is a must .which is having vairagya is a must for every path .but essentially reasoning ,dispassion etc are must .you can get to know Sadhan chatusthay from Google . Now once you get to know yourself which path is suited to you .join parampara like for bhakti , you can join various parampara like Radha Vallabh etc , for yoga you can join nath sampradaya etc .for jnana marga you can join Kashmir shaivism etc .more than reading it is about practise(saadhna) .but still I am going to give some books you can read for further understanding . Here are :- Tatva bodha Atma bodha Who am I by Ramana maharishi Be as you are by Ramana maharishi Gospel of ramkrishna paramhans Tatva vivechani Bhagvat Gita - geeta press commentary Bhagvat Gita - jnaneshwari commentary Bhakt maal Complete works of swami vivekananda . Asthavalra Gita , if you want commentary osho commentary is enough I will day choose easiest path in kaliyug which is naam+ devotion and try to take mantra from a recognised guru , not these famous gurus but an authentic sampradaya .thanks 😊

Ur right. But i saw this 1 hour video. And the conclusion i could come up was nothing. It's just saying the same thing in multiple ways. Very basic and trivial stuff which is common sense according to me atleast. All these won't ever matter in the long term. If you really need a guiding light to your life(religion and spirituality) then you are hopeless, insecure and easily manipulatable. Become strong and become your own human being. Stop asking others for the way of life. Do something crazy in life such that million of people become your followers instead of following someone. You do realise right how this religions and spirituality wali bakwaas originated. People over time made some famous people as God. I won't be shocked if shwetabh bhagwaan ki pooja ho rahi hogi 2402 Ad mein. Log hote hi aise hai. However, we have destroyed this real essence of hinduism centuries before. Dharma does not translates to religion. Religion (abrahamic religions) are nothing but a clown activity. On the other hand, the co called hindu tradition (which is far away from the geeta and upanishads) is also a clown activity. Dharma means to walk in the path of truth and self-enquiry. Nothing else. However, the hinduism we follow today is not the real essence( not even at least 10% of it) of true hinduism. Once u read, upanishads and bhagwat geeta (gita press publication), u will realise what I am saying. Unlike the clownish abrahamic religions these are just great philosophical books

Responsibility jaldi aa gai 18 ke age me Job start ho gai at one of the biggest Construction company.. I was in QA/QC.. Bahot logo se interact kiya.. bahot logo ki life dekhi.. problems dekhe.. Accident bhi hua tha.. sath me turant degree start kardi to 21 ki age tak Engineering ki degree bhi aa gai with 3 years experience.. Fir mujhe Specialization karni thi structure me.. I did 6 months course and diverted my career.. I am also in a long distance relationship with a girl from past 3 years who was living with one of the worst father anyone can have.. Anger issues gaali dena and all.. she was almost suicidal.. I made her positive person.. And by all these experiences above I learned so many things.. Met so many people.. I love to read a person.. His story.. that just gives me a lot of various perspectives in life.. And today I am just 21 year old guy.. Currently in Abu Dhabi.. Company ke kaam se here for few months.. First job me bhi bahot bhayankar travel kiya Pune Gujarat and all.. So yeah.. I am not bragging but my perspective about things.. people.. Emotions.. etc are way more Deeper.. Mature than most of the people around me.. I learned many things from videos and all.. Yet to read any vedic scripture.. But as Shwetabh said.. I literally feel I am not capable rn.. And I would prefer to learn Sanskrit first.. to have better idea about what's it really.. Shwetabh.. I wish ek baar apni bas kuch baat ho yr.. I literally think like you about things!

one reason is there is so much gatekeeping, insecurities and attacks on anybody who tries to get into this by people who "claim" only they know and understand hindu philosophy. This plunges people into fear of exploring, sharing, and saying anything. Happened to me. You say one thing, and people pounce on you as if every commenter is a scholar and expert and enlightened yogi. For ANY school of thought to thrive, there needs to be a gym-like environment where everybody encourages the newbie, mistakes are welcome and a part of the process, and everybody is focused on growing, gaining, and exploring. We don't have new thinkers because people don't allow anybody to think or interpret in new ways either. Toxic gatekeeping is a killer of innovative creative thinking and forces people into groupthink.

Can't resist commenting on something important I observed... you caught the exact point. The reason why nowadays men wanting to prove their worth as powerful is so prominent is because of evolutionary reasons continuing just as they are but with certain changes with today's age. This drive still makes them feel somehow they should also show themselves as being more powerful than women(even though they are already genetically physically more powerful and all that)... their quest for power never seems to cease. Eventually none of that is going to give them satisfaction. Neither is there going to be satisfaction in women being insecure about men's shortcomings while they are not open to spiritual truths. We have to rise above such ego games first... they are what's filling this age up disproportionately, instead of real spirituality(and self development).

The rate at which people r turning spiritual is astounding. Never thought that shwetabh is inspired by vedantic philosophy as well. And the huge comments below, is a proof how much important it has become to disseminate such deep thoughts to our younger gen. Absolutely phenomenal. I myself have been a deep reader in this field for the past 8 to 10 years and I stumbled upon this great knowledge to overcome my own pain and depression. This knowledge has given me the trajectory I was searching for long. But sometimes I do wonder, if these highly enlightened people starts quiting this life and secludes himself from society. Then, only the useless materialist fellows will be reproducing more useless materialist fellows turning the society's culture to materialism and pleasure seeking causing further erosion of morality, ethics, values, self restrain etc., Which in turn will lead to crime rise and chaos in the society. There would be long term societal damage for ages and dark ages would appear. I wonder why good people has to suffer while the bad ones enjoys happiness and is happy in their unaware world. I pity those good peoples. So is it worth being good?

So its your responsibility to repay to this world, society. 3. You are aware about biases of your mind. For understanding these things, you should have knowledge about how this world works and how your mind works. If you want to be free of something, understand that thing first. Ask whether that thing is even real? For understanding in depth, you can read following books 1. Freedom from the known by j krishnamurti 2. Bhagwat geeta 3. Astavakra geeta (advanced level) 4. Mandukya upanishad 5. Behavioral economics ( Read daniel kahneman) 6. You can watch acharya prashant's video 7. Most important, question everything you read. These books and people may also have biases. So read them slowly and use your rational mind. So before beginning anything, first study behavioral economics. By reading, i do not mean only reading, it could be any mean.
