A Hindu temple in Melville, New York, was vandalised with anti-India graffiti, prompting India to urge US authorities to take swift action. The BAPS Swaminarayan Temple, the target of the attack, held a prayer meeting attended by local leaders, including US Representatives Nick LaLota and Tom Suozzi. India's Consulate General in New York condemned the incident and is in contact with law enforcement. This comes just weeks ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the area. As a Hindu in US over 15 years, I can explain we in US do the Rath Yatra almost in every citi, citi Mayer, police completely support it. This is so sad. Leave places of religious worship out of it! It's completely unacceptable to be trashing a peaceful and loving place such as this temple. It's a place of solace for so many people and it's given rise to many kind-hearted volunteers who help so many communities of people out of their sheer love and care for others. And Hinduism itself is such a beautiful and peaceful religion that teaches respect towards others including animals, plants, and even the Earth itself. They don't even shove religion down people's throats like other religions do and there's no such thing as trying to "convert" others. They respect people of all religions and backgrounds and teach their devotees good morals and values. Sad that there are hateful people in this world who would do something so disgusting as vandalize a temple.

I'm an Indian Hindu, and I'd say it's anglo-Saxon christians who built U.S not Indian Hindus. If you want to practice your religion in public come back to India. Or practice your religion in your home in private or in community gathering centres that look very western by outer appearance. Don't make U.S less American by building temples, holy statues there in west. When in Rome, be like Roman. You see India has alot of diversity, that's why here we have alot of religions. Other countries like Europe, Russia, Japan, Korea are homogeneous and they don't need our diversity to make there country's bad. Even Africa needs to follow Christianity not hinduism, because rich from west can atleast send Christian Africans aid, Indians need to help Indians first, and there neighbouring countrys, to have better geo-political relations with them. How will they help others?

krish2krish2 in manipur alone 642 churches were either burnt down or looted and destroyed in 2023 only, churches were attacked and pastor were killed in west bengal. In 2019 pastor sanjeevulu was slaughtered in telangana. Churches were continously attacked and destroyed in bibar, UP, tamilnadu, Assam and in almost every States in India except in nagaland and mizoram. But the churches just stay quiet because forgiving is everything for them. Indian government is trying to hide all this cases with best effort.
