A lesbian or gay person can be anything. A great doctor or lawyer or anything else. Why just sex work? Sounds ridiculous. Secondly there are enough examples of two gay people adopting and raising kids well in the West. India, with its millions of orphans, could really do with some compassionate and loving gay couples adopting kids.

They obviously weren't just sex workers. It was popular for them to be in sex work at that time bcoz they chose that. No one forced them into anything.

🙏🙏🙏 Namaskar . Thankyu Sir for this educational discourse. It is very comforting to here this opinion from a mature speaker such as yourself. Thankyu so much for yur honesty. I wanted to point out though there are many Transgender women who foster orphan children and i think its fair to say that thry are capable of adequate parenting. Although many transgender may live a lifestyle that is not appropriate for child rearing.... It wouldnt be fair to assume that all are in same circumstances. And many ...if having had appropriate and complete sex re assignment surgery would and should be then allowed for marriage to the other gender. Transgenders should not be homosexual amongst themselves. And as for Gay mans couples... These men should be allowed marriage with eachother if the relationship is authentic. ( same for lesbian ). And they may be allowed to keep there children from previous relationship... Or possibly be considered for adoption suitibility. They should never be denied marriage or parentel rights on the basis of LGBT alone

This is good. Reading the texts I feel that third sex people were far more that sex workers. They were important people in the Palace and other non religious institutions granted by their status the right to move freely between male and female areas. The Kings women archers and hairdressers and other artisans working in parts of the harem are examples. Third sex people were far more loyal and industrious than most as they had no heirs. Also, except for Bramins, for a (Bi) man to get relief from a third sex friend when his wife was in-desposed seems to be a far lesser sin than all the other options? Almost all religions and cultures have had their interpretations changed by invaders often resulting in a mess. Many with no written text don't even know what it was or how to recover it. Remembering that we are no longer in the Bronze Age, the texts still ring true today and put our minds to work trying to understand all that is between the lines of prose.

it is the western stratedy to categorise transgender with their homosexuality to push their acceptance in our society, as in the movie Danish girl, very clearly, the actor says homosexual and transgenders arent the same. Bharatji, what you are talking of in our context I think is the transgender which we never has a problem with. they are a part of our society, considered auspicious, even Shikhandi (Shikha means wisdom) was an exceptional warrior and in war was considered for the post of senapati, and you are right about marriage and children as the West has gone mad & Perverted. every kind of family is in practice, mostly single mothers/ then gay. children there have no childhood and are confused & parents themselves are lost, wither into drugs, depression, porn, gay, criminals, suicide or just after sex. so for our children;s sake, lets give this crazy imitation of AWOL (american way of live)

about the marriage thing I'm absolutely pissed off bcs I wouldn't give a damn if his opinions are "no pineapple on pizza" but this exact mentality is what taking away the rights of homosexual people to have a family. It's not about tradition, it's about treating. everyone. equally. You can always leave the country if you wanna get married btw- I'm studying hard to get rid of this place 🏃🏻‍♀️ about having babies : there are literally SO MANY orphans and I solely believe that you won't be doing a crime if you adopt them. See? Homosexuals can also help control the constant growth of population bcs over population and population explosion isn't really pretty and they're also helping the orphans. As for the quote-unquote _tradition_ : "Traditionally", women were only supposed to work for the family and give birth to children and stay under the shoes of her family but old man, times have changed. Talk about equality but missing out on this with a stupid excuse of tradition. Don't come at me with "you didn't listen to the whole video properly". Just don't. I'll tell you why - It's because stuck up mentalities like this are stopping homosexuals from getting a family. If ydk why families are necessary, let me point out just a few reasons : 1. For emotional support 2. For giving birth to offsprings (though biologically it isn't possible for homosexuals to do so, I already mentioned a method which is widely known as ADOPTION). 3. To fulfill sexual desires 4. To have someone to rely on So don't pull the "society" and "tradition" cards. Also, it is actually good to be blind in some cases. Use common sense and be blind at required fields. India's collective mentality of "log kya kahenge" (what will people say) and "It goes against our tradition" etc is what makes India a developing country. Though it'd be fair to say that it's STILL underdeveloped in these cases. don't let the rainbows bite fellas

Yes it so totally is. It's nobody's business. We have bigger fish to fry. End world hunger (especially in India where there are more millionaires per capita then anywhere else). We have homelessness to solve. We have youth suicide to address. Slavery in factories. There are wars going on and people displaced from their homeland. That is what we have to think about.
