Sir Sanderson is one of the greatest scholar of Kashmir Shaivism. I am very happy to see that he is working on Śrī Tantraloka. Hope Sir Sanderson will publish his Tantraloka lectures.

Thank you Professor Sanderson and Professor Flood. It is a rare honor to study Abhinavagupta with both of you.

Prof.Sanderson is an example of accuracy and logical finesse that all textual scholars should follow. He is one of the few scholars that still remain dedicated to their discipline , dettached from all those hindrances he talks about at the beginning .

Can feel Abhinava, just by listening to his lecture. Profound thanks and gratitude. Starting my Sunday by listening to him has made my day.

Could Professor Sanderson please have a microphone next time? It's sometimes difficult to hear him over background noise. And since he *is* the world's leading expert in this field, we do so want to hear him clearly . . . ;)

Can someone explain what Sanderson means with 'pre-cognitive impulse' as being one of Shiva's powers?

I believe he is referring to iccha-śakti, sometimes translated as the power of will. Does that help? An impulse that does not come from conceptual thought.
