One of the hardest draws in the comp and still finding a way to beat a premiership contender in Carlton. Great win but it won't be the last time these two teams face off this year if the competition stays the same.

How can they have the hardest draw in the comp when they get 12 home games with a real home ground advantage.? Melbourne teams except for geelong are lucky to get 5 home ground advantage games per season, because all the Melbourne teams play MCG or Marvel. Even the Marvel teams prefer to play the MCG. Melbourne teams have no home ground advantage against other Melbourne teams. The only time they get a home ground advantage is when an interstate team comes to Melbourne, but many of those games are moved to Tassie, Darwin, and other random neutral grounds This is why teams like Geelong and interstate teams often make the finals, but crash out in straight sets when they play good teams away from home. There is a reason why interstate teams are always want home finals.

@@tubester4567 Many teams would rather only have to travel 20 minutes up the road for an away game than get on a plane for hours, stay in a hotel and train on a different ground every second week. There’s no comparison. The reason interstate clubs want home finals is the same reason any club would want a home final, you want to be playing on your home deck. Comparing home ground advantage to 20 minute travel for an away game does not work. Edit: look at GCS, they’ve only lost 1 game at their ground this year yet fail to win away. I’m sure they’d love to only travel 20 minutes up the road for away games. They struggle with travel.

Too many nitpicking penalties in the first half, you can’t win a game of footy without the ball.

The umpires all interpret the rules differently. Too many umpires. To inconsistent little touches when it should only be a penalty when it is to the rules but obvious and with a clear breach. Not little touches. It's becoming like the Rugby league game where you can't tackle. The game called touch football !

Isn't it funny in the ore match interview the coach would not answer the question relating to Ports capacity to match the leagues top contenders?? Zeroe. Just would not say anything no pre match prediction at all. Did not want any accountability that could be critiqued post match. Hilarious in most sports coaches just going along for the ride.
