Thanks for this selfless work ma. My question is when sewing it on the machine, are we going to use the same measurement? E.g like on the kneel we removed 1inch from the hip measurement and 1and half for helm. If my hip is 36 and I divide it by 2 that is 18 and am I going to use 17 on the kneel and 16and half on the helm while sewing? That is my question ma.

Well explained, thanks for the video. But I want to ask, when sewing the zip allowance, u sewed in 2 inches from waist to hem or u sewed what was left after contouring?

I have taken the front seat😊😊 thanks for the tutorial and all you do. My question is, is there any need to replace the one inch you removed at the waist at the side seams, If for instance I use one inch seam allowance do I need to replace the contouring at the waist. Thank you.

@@abujatailor wow, thank you for the quick response, but you see the thing is you usually add 2inches side seam allowance, does it not make up for it. Hmmm I will practice it and let you know the outcome. Tried your bishop collar illustration and it came out perfect. Thank you.

I love your videos but I wish you would do some tutorials using the pattern method without seam allowance for a clear view and understanding. I've always known to remove 5-6 inches from the hip measurement for the knee measurement for a pencil look. Why did you only remove 1 inch?
@abujatailor2 жыл бұрын
I chose my method of cutting because it's very much easier and convenient for me , I deal with lots of clients on a daily basis( different shape and body size).... i can't afford the luxury of time to be making patterns for each and everyone one of them, or grading the pattern to suit individual......not 🤔 even when they will not be willing to come for fittings (they believe your dress should fit, without fitting if you know what you're doing)..... that brings me to my method; which enables me to cut and sew without any fittings within the shortest time and it always comes perfect without any alterations or adjustments..... 99% of the times in all of these , I will suggest you stick to what works for you ....
