This exercise is inspired by David Grey @DavidGreyRehab .
This client had a little hamstring strain right at his attachment point on the left side. The hip hinge position gets that hamstring under tension, but in a lengthened state. When the medicine ball is caught, it causes just a little stretch, or oscillation, or disturbance, at that left attachment site. The goal is to train resiliency at that attachment site so the hamstring can withstand greater forces of stretch and shorten without straining.
