This is a bit of a different video in that we will be looking at one aspect of gait analysis: the glute max and it's function. I really enjoy doing stuff like this as it's important to see the body moving in 3D. We don't always get these types of pictures just looking statically at someone, and people don't often see themselves walking, so they also get an idea of how they are moving.
Something to note is what's happening with her right glute max versus her left glute max. When we shift into internal rotation, the glute max needs to inhibit to allow that internal rotation. Clearly the opposite needs to happen when we shift into external rotation. When a hip goes forward, that is when external rotation needs to happen through the pelvis and femur, and when a hip comes backwards that when we need internal rotation.
I hope you can see the difference in her stride and her glute maxes as she walks at a normal pace. If you have any questions, please, fire away!
