This is official my top fave choreo in existence, honestly. It’s literal ART! The dancers are beyond amazing and JIMIN IS EXTREMELY INSANE! He doesn’t dance he tells a story, a true dancer! The passion and emotions he exudes while executing every move so perfectly is CRAZY!!! This man ain’t one of, HE IS, the best dancer in the industry. A literal dance god👏🏽. As a dancer myself, he is definitely thee greatest I have ever seen in my fckin life for the longest time. He NEVER EVER fails to leave me absolutely speechless and amazed. This is one of many reasons why he is my role model💜

Jimin been wanting to say stfu for a loooong time, it shows!💜🙌🏽 It's always his subtle movements that get me. Like a little head tilt or the way he sometimes dances just a teeny bit behind the beat or carries out a move for a bit longer for emphasis. I mean, the man is just art!

Jimin has giving us the biggest mantra, affirmation, prayer, or body cleanser that you’ll ever known with Set me Free. Could you imagine if every time you listen or say set me free, unconsciously you are removing your stored pain, shame, fears, or anything that is stopping you to fulfill your heart desires. I wish these haters can see his greatness. From my part I want to apologize to Jimin from all his pain and suffering, when he was giving us all joy, happiness and greatness.

The spiral is actually symbolizes a maze, it's hard to come out or there's struggle to be freed. If you watched them from 2013 to date, you will understand what he meant. Their solo tracks like Arson of JHope actually symbolizes their past and how they got where they are now. It echoes their haters, bashers and critics. And at this point they are so done with it. So they are coming out as new artists. Much better than before. I love how their careers are moving. Thanks guys for always sharing your opinion. I love how you support our boys.

Thanks for what you said about healing. I think dance can help you express what can't say in life. I used to take all my emotions into a dance exercise class that I lead and at certain times as a song came up in energy scream, "Let it out" and they would scream with me and dance more intensely. Sadly the atmosphere at this business became toxic and I left. I spent my time since then catching up on BTS and healing. Stumbling on your channel has helped me along that journey. Love you guys!

I hope you soon find a better place to be doing what you were doing, because I knw it helps people so much to expel negative energy and literally work the feels out of themselves. There's a perfect place in your future just keeo an eye out for it. We all need avenues to rid ourselves of all the things we hold in that sit there and fester until we can process them somehow. BTS helped me immensely with songs like "So What", Epiphany, FIRE, ON, Not Today, (especially watching the live performances of all those & m.v.'s too) and so many other songs of theirs when I ws stuck and not recovering from a bad depression. Music does heal.

@@christinemarie1621 my son too had it bad but the only way to get over it and unlearn anything we're that way about is to do the thing we're afraid of, in mini steps, to force ourselves to do it. That's the hard truth I told my son 6 years ago when they made him a foreman.& the job required talking to the clients & the workers under him. I told him "Make yourself say Hi to one person a day until it no longer gives you anxiety. LOOK at their faces, see how it makes them feel happy, noticed if you speak to them. Try to get out of your own head & see how others are feeling. Everyone has anxiety at some level." He did that for a couple weeks, then I told him ask 1 a day "How are you?". He kept going with this & today he runs a huge branch of the business he started out in. The hard truth is, the solution to killing anxiety and fear of anything is: you have to do the thing & slowly desensitize yourself to it. You have to learn to do many hard things in life. Now if the anxiety is severe, you may need aid to start doing whatever it is, at first, from a counselor, therapist, trusted friend, parent....but ANYONE can overcome these obstacles by starting a program of making yourself DO IT. I remember I told hi "You've got nothing to lose by trying to change it, only growth and mre happiness, empowerment to GAIN and confidence in yourelf by figuring out that YOU do have the power to change things like this.To see that to change your minds way of thinking all you got to do is CHANGE, bit by bit, anything done regularly will become habit, it is human nature."

❣Jimin’s “Set Me Free Pt.2’, it’s everything & more then I could hope for, Jimin’s amazing artistry, his so beyond spectacular,, so mesmerizing, phenomenal performance! The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production! Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this makes me that much more excited, waiting in anticipation for release of the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” on March 24, along with his other, main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Jimin’s true, real, inner self will be finally seen in all its raw, authentic, amazing, heartfelt, passionate, emotional, sincere glory! This is aside from Jimin’s full range, hardly ever being shown, aside from high notes, but being finally able to show his full registry, mid range as well as lower registry as well! I’ve always been so frustrated not being able to see as well as hear Jimin’s full capacity of talent. So often not being fully taken advantage of, but that comes with being part of a group, that has every single member having so much talent that it’s been so limiting for Jimin, especially him being so selfless, making a point of having others shine before himself. Now the spotlight will be just on him! Though we’ve seen Jimin’s amazingly spectacular, so mesmerizingly outstanding solo performances before. But now, as Jimin himself, mentioned, he’ll indeed be showing the depth of his raw inner self! In an interview Jimin explained: "I tried to express the grand scale of the song and [the ideas of] determination, passion, and overcoming. “Set me free” means setting myself free, so I thought it was important that I be the one to set myself free - not someone else. In the end, I’m the one who has to set myself free. I would say the song has the energy of a light in the darkness. I wanted to express that kind of picture everyone has in their head - a ray of light coming into the darkness is the only thing you can see. If I had to say specific colors, I’d say black and white."

I also felt that when Jimin was in the middle of the circle the dancers were like exorcising demons. Like a ritual kind of dance. It was a heck yeah get rid of the trash and be free moment. First on March 23,, Jimin will be doing an interview, not sure if he’ll also be performing this song though, even though as a pre-release, it’s out already out. On March 24, the actual day Jimin’s full album “FACE” is released, along with actual main song from album “Like Crazy” MV, he will appear once again, to perform possibly both songs! Guys thank you so much for your continued love and support for Jimin. I think it’s important to make it clear that he does actually mean opinions when he sings “f*** all your opps’ because the other kpop fanbases are trying to create a false narrative to weaponise the black community against Jimin. I know you guys know how toxic KPop fanbases can be. They’re literally trying to get him cancelled because that’s how threatened they are by him and what his success would mean for their stans. So need to make it clear that he doesn’t say f*** all YOU opps (as in opponents) and is NOT appropriating ‘black’ slang.

#RealOnesKnow I'd like to point out something you haven't talked about: that final formation with Jimin up in the air is a HEAVY reminder of Lie's choreo when the same thing happens! The difference I feel in watching this choreo though is that he's not fighting it, he's *revelling* in it and then when he gets down standing still and the dancers are the floor it's such a stark contrast to the breakdown at the very end of Lie it gives me shivers. The way I see this is he's not afraid anymore, he's not confined or confused no - he's asking for it, he's commanding the choreography from start to finish. I mean I loved Lie and I love Set Me Free pt2 even more now for it. I live for this stuff 💜

Good for you to promote healthy mental health through dance. Dance therapy. I agree. This anthem and the stunningly expressive choreo movements at the end can be cathartic and literally moving in your body. I don't know if you've studied dance therapy. But it is a thing. It's used in all types of therapy for all people with varying diagnoses. I specifically have worked with autistic and mentally challenged students in a classroom setting. Sometimes the best thing we can do is move the desks back, clear the room, turn on the music, and unleash their souls with the movement. I can tell you I have boohooed and let out a lot of pain myself with this song. And what's amazing Jimin knows and understands and has lived it. But thanks again for sharing your use of this song to grind it out! Good for you! Brava! Jimin would be proud. It IS an anthem to live and thrive by...for sure! God Bless!

I am with you on the spiral being the number 6. He obviously is the 7th member, spinning inside the enclosed circle of the 6, the circle being the whole craziness and censorship of being BTS, and then he breaks out and says he is finally free. So freaking beautiful. That sequence alone moved me to tears. So, so so, so proud of him right now!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Dance practice is always the best right FAM?!! And for this one I was able to see more clearly of all their dance details especially in Jimin's every facial expression. It was mind-boggling but amazing to the highest level. I love our Chapter 2....I felt like our boys have been brave to express their deeper thoughts/feelings about everything, and they are letting us know. Thanks for this awesome reaction as always FAM!!! And also FYI AJJ, the specific dance part you said that it will be so hard if they picked that as a dance challenge....well, that's actually the dance challenge they just dropped yesterday. 😆😆😆

Thank you for your review, I appreciate you 3 pointing things out in the dance practices. I know the song is about the journey through the pain and hate, but it’s joyous and it speaks to Jimins own journey. I noticed in the practice at 2 points the fingers are pointed at him and the first time Jimin half crouches like he’s being crushed by the negative, but the second time he’s fully upright and slays with a look - I think he’s showing how strong he’s become on his own journey. Awesome review as always. Nico, crank up the BTS and I hope it helps you get through the pain. I know it helped me. 💜

I’d been waiting for you guys to react to this dance practice since it dropped! The power, the artistry, and the emotion are conveyed perfectly in this choreography, and I figured The Lab’s hand was behind it, along with Jimin’s. It’s so exciting to watch! On point analysis as well! Your thoughts on the 6, or 9, or spiral are right. Totally interpretive, though I think it represents the spiral of inner struggle Jimin’s faced, and a 6 representing his other members, and his individually,. Your point at the end got to me Nico! See Me Free Pt. 2 is my personal anthem. I’ve listened to it, and watched the MV and choreo countless times. I’ve been dealing with my own inner struggles, and it spoke to me. This song is like a mourning for the past self, and a celebration of the new self, hence Jimin shedding the darkness, and appearing in white. It’s death and rebirth, the end of the MV represents this… Long comment, but I’ve been waiting to express this for days. Peace and love guys! I love y’all, you’re the GOATS as BTS reactors! 💜💜💜

I love all the interpretations of that spiral cause they all add to the meaning in the song. I saw it as a chrysalis, ESPECIALLY because as soon as he reached the center he turned into a butterfly in the choreography. It’s also got lots of similar meanings to the overall song (rebirth, transformation, coming into your true self, etc.) Love your video and love everything about this song. Props to Jimin and the dancers!

Fun fact: the choreographer behind ON, Sienna Lalau, also did the choreo for SMF pt.2. I've been a fan of her and The Lab (their dance crew) since before ON, and i can honestly say that no one else can follow her choreographies and make it look as easy as she and BTS do. They're just on another level. 🙌

This song and choreography are SUCH a powerful indictment against the dual oppressions by the kpop industry and the solo haters of Jimin! It even reaches back to what he was trying to say (but couldn't be honest at the time) during his song "Lie". Note the similar lifting carrying turning during the Lie choreo. Jimin, and all the members of BTS individually, have been subject to so much judgment, condemnation, opinions, and demands against idols to be a certain way. Jimin, in particular, has had death threats and vitriol hurled against him since the very beginning for one reason or another. There are even hundreds of thousands of delusional "fans" who believe he has separated Jungkook from Taehyung - which is so obviously untrue. We know the boys see everything and know everything that has been thrown against them and I, for one, am absolutely thrilled to see them fighting back in this new era of individual self-expression!

Y'all made me cry because Jimin has gotten so much shit but Jimin is an artist, he is creating art it's not just music to him. I can honestly say one reason why Jimin put this out there wasn't just to show us what he can do but show to the ones who don't know about all the hate he truly gets........Jimin really broke something in Kpop when he released this. It's a masterpiece and he put all his emotions in it and yes...he was right, all that hate is coming at it from all sides because he is so good at what he does. Hating or defaming someone for the word "opps" or autotune is the most ridiculous and immature thing to do.

Honesty there are much more people that appreciate this song and love jimin than haters. Let’s be honest it’s the same old story wether it’s him or j-hope or any other members from BTS, they will always get hate from fandoms cause it’s what it is, it’s not random people that suddenly want to hate jimin, it’s fans from other fandoms because of fandoms wars…. Come on autotune? Others groups, big western artists used it too and it was never a problem (you hear autotune for like 30 seconds in this song) So all of them talking shit should not even touch us cause it’s always what they do. The song is loved and well received by the public, jimin is more than happy period 😌

I'm fascinated by this choreography. Usually we'd see the surrounding dancers creating the scene but with movements less exaggerated or strong than the focus performer, you know? Like in On or Run BTS. But here, the dancers are moving faster, bigger than he is for almost the entire thing, and it still works, because his slow gliding motions cut through their sharp staccato ones. He's so compelling that the eye still lands on him. There are so many times when he does the same motion, but in a more controlled fashion, and even to slightly different timing. And he does have bursts when he's absolutely driving the energy, but so much of this is a frenetic setting and him moving through it with purpose and intensity. It's brilliant. I know there's a whole team of choreographers... But it feels seamless to me. I see Sienna's hand in the use of The Lab. Jimin's parts were developed by people who know him very well... And I'd be willing to bet actual money that Jimin had a strong role in developing this piece, laying out the vision for the team to work with.

Art is always open for interpretation! I also saw the formation as a spiral or circles (like the German poem written on his chest: "I live my life in widening circles..."), but my mom, also an Army, saw it as a maze, even before looking at the lyrics that mention wandering in a maze. Like lines in song lyrics can have double or triple meanings, the same goes for visual elements. Maybe it is a 6, a spiral, a circle, a maze, all at the same time! There's no one correct way to see art, our points of view will add their color to everything we perceive. Always love seeing your reactions 💜

Agreed! I don't get ppl who say it's this & can only mean this. The ambiguity is one of the things that I love most abt their work because then it can apply to more ppl & situations & I believe that's their intention. For me, I first saw a 9 & immediately thought of numerology, "symbolizes awakening & inner wisdom through life experiences & struggles" and have seen others think of yin & yang. If anything, it just shows how connected so many things are in this world ♾️

As the saying goes, "The proof is in the details." The interpretation of lyrics into movement, the synchronicity, the hand gestures, the facial expressions are all perfection. Jimin is absolutely mesmerizing. But, let's also give credit where credit is due, to the support dancers. Yes, after this performance I've decided that I'm no longer using the term "backup dancers".

He did the group thing for so many years, doing as he was told, But now he can do what He wants but he has to find out what his true way is!! I love watching Jimin dance so much because he focuses so much on details, you will watch him dance with his whole body, even the tips of his finger move beautifully. I love that you're able to see his dance background even just from the way he stands, his body lines are impeccable, I never get tired of him. I'm obsessed with the last part too Nico, it feels so cathartic, I don't think I'll be able to put it perfectly into words, it's otherwordly.
