I remember exactly where I was when I heard Cobain was dead. Nirvana changed music so much. Such a talent. His daughter looks so much like him, Francis Bean.

Go beyond that and watch Black live with Eddie Vedder after Chris Cornell passed - Eddie survived so many deaths in grunge; so many funerals. And for him to emotionally cry out ‘come back’ during this live version…wow. The feelings.

Yes!! This is one of my favorites because the music sounds watery. Kurt unfortunately did have a rifle and blew his face off, but he was a brilliant lyricist and created artwork for the band's albums. Dave Grohl is a monster on the drums. Thank you so much for listening to this song. Your reaction was right on. 💙✌

The sign when you enter Aberdeen Washington where Kurt was from instead of saying "welcome" like most most towns signs say, Aberdeen's says "Come As You Are"

Also, that bassline was lifted from The Killing Joke song, *The 80's* The Killing Joke was a huge influence on them. Later, in the early 2000's TKJ reunion album and tour, Dave Grohl sat in on drums.

I am Proud to say Kurt liked to use the same Guitar I use; A 1970's Univox High Flyer (I have a P-90 Model) and the great Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal Nothing gives crunch like a distorted P-90 Single Coil. Stax for reference the P-90 is about twice the size of a standard single coil pick like those found in a Fender Stratocaster. Bigger Coil = Stronger Signal, Stronger Signal drives the Vacuum Tubes in the amp harder so they distort more, this is why Distortion is often called Over Drive. I was upset over Kurt's Death for along time.kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6DLlHtvot6rgLM&ab_channel=ScienceofLoud

Always been my fave Nirvana song. Got a memory attached to it. When I was in college as an art student, I was walking through the main building one day. Was prob already late for class. But saw this guy from another art course, playing an acoustic guitar. He was like a skateboarding hippie. I sat down and listened to him play. Then he asked for requests. I said, “Come As You Are”. He plucked around a bit, then began playing that riff.

YES! Christmas in Hollis is in heavy rotation on our Christmas playlist, along with Oi to the World (I honestly prefer the No Doubt version, its a little more "Christmas'd up" than The Vandals version.

PLEASE REACT TO 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night ' Unplugged - truly captivating - Kurt sang his soul out!🖤 Also 'The Man Who Sold The World' Unplugged And 'Heart Shaped Box' (official video) 'About A Girl' Unplugged - the whole Nirvana MTV Unplugged set is truly legendary! I know YT are petty about copyright, but it would be good if you could enhance the transparency just a little more - I think you could get away with it whilst still avoiding a copyright strike👍😉
