This band...this album...it turned my life upside down. And in all the best ways possible. I was in Jr High when this came out. I had never heard of them before. My best friend at the time was listening to this on a Sony Walkman and I asked him what he was listening to. When I told them I never heard of them, he gave me this really odd look, shook his head and handed me the headphones. He started the disc over again, sitting back just to see my reaction. That was it. I was hooked. In less than 30 seconds, I found my voice. It ignited something in my soul. 30+ years later, and it still gives me goosebumps. Lounge Act Territorial Pissings Two more songs on this album worth digging into it. I would also recommend going back to the beginning, and listen to Bleach. Negative Creep School

In the early 1990s, four bands emerged from the obscure Seattle underground, and revolutionized the rock music scene. They were: Nirvana Alice In Chains Pearl Jam Soundgarden Collectively, they were known as “Grunge.” And of course, there were plenty more. But that’s a good starting point. Please check out all four of these legendary bands. I promise you won’t regret it.

I'm 50, and to this day, this is still the most impactful song of my life. I haven't seen music change as quickly as it did from rock/metal to alternative/grunge when this came out. It was wonderful. I've often wondered when we would see another shift in music like that, but it hasn't really happened. And nowadays the mainstream charts are full of terrible rappers who just copy one another and can't stop using autotune. Music was better when it was played by humans, there's way too much being done on computers now, takes the heart out of it. RIP Kurt Cobain, such an amazing voice and songwriter.

Nirvana changed the face of the music industry OVERNIGHT with this song! It went stratospheric and defined a new genre - 'grunge'. I adored them and like everyone else, I was devastated when singer/songwriter/lead guitarist, Kurt Cobain took his own life in 1994 at the peak of their fame. You NEED to check out 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night' Unplugged - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnawnmqdraeMicU - my favourite ever Nirvana performance.- haunting. Their whole MTV unplugged set was, and still is, legendary. Kurt died a few months later aged just 27yrs - 'The 27 Club'. Kurt was a gentle but troubled soul who hated fame……what a wonderful legacy he left us.....I wish he'd got to see his daughter grow up. R.I.P. Kurt Cobain 💔 PS Dave Grohl was Nirvana's drummer who is now famously the frontman of the Foo-Fighters.
