They’re very catchy. They make heavy metal very accessible. They remind me of mid-career Blue Öyster Cult, writing creepy, occult-influenced lyrics to a heavy rock tune with loads of vocal and instrumental hooks.

I love this video and song, but I've watched it so many times that the editing mistakes really distract me, but in a good way. Once you see them it's hard to unsee them and so it becomes a little bit extra on top of what is already cool. For example the video uses seperate shots composited together so in the cinema the band is never sat with the audience, but the two shots are put together to make it seem that way. The shot where Papa reacts to something strange happens before the hammer starts to have lightning so his reaction is not in the right order. When the hand comes through the screen Papa reacts and so does the band. Then the hand goes above the band and Papa grabs one of the band members to look, these should have been switched so that when we get the close up on Papas face at something looming over him it makes sense and the band member already reacting is then not reacting for the first time. When the band then eventually stand to leave they move as if there is a row of cinema seats in front, but they are at the front. So from this we can deduce when it was filmed it's likely they were meant to be in the middle, but either through no good shots to composite in there or just wanting the band to be more important and the focus they changed it. Can tell i've watched this video a lot! :D
