It was actually a mistake that the video was set to block on our end, it is now fixed and we should be good to go for this one and future videos.

@@johngiuliosprich Just saw this reply. Awesome to see bands that encourage reaction videos and admit when they made a mistake with an unintentional block. Makes me love VOLA even more :D

This song was so surprising and sick. VOLA's new album is going to be a banger :D

I was expecting something unexpected, But this caught me completely off-guard in the best way!

That breakdown at 3:31 of the song (not this video) is just a jaw dropper. One of my favorite riffs they've ever done. Edit: it's like 4:37 in this video.

This album is going to be so good! They’re 4 for 4 with the singles right now for me 🤘
@dansourile54443 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think this will be their breakout album that makes them much more popular in prog circles. It's already my favorite album of theirs and I've only heard 4 songs!
@Marius_ae3 жыл бұрын
@@dansourile5444 they are definitely gaining tracture, but both Inmazes and Applause- should have been their breakout albums. They keep getting slept on, such a shame
@dansourile54443 жыл бұрын
@@Marius_ae agreed. But at the same time, I think Inmazes was almost TOO heavy and needed some lighter tracks to break up the intensity (plus it's a debut so it's tough to hit big) and then I think Applause went too far the other way (I didn't find enough heavy for my personal preferences). This album seems to have perfected the combination of those first two albums.
@Marius_ae3 жыл бұрын
@@dansourile5444 inmazes was a 9.5/10 in my book, but they perfected it with applause, which is a 10/10
@dansourile54443 жыл бұрын
@@Marius_ae oh wow! I don't have a lot of perfect 10 albums, but Applause honestly disappointed me. I was so hyped and then felt let down. It's good music, it just isn't what I liked about them and what I was looking for. But I think we can both agree this next one is going to be amazing. :D

You introduced me to Vola with the 24 light years reaction and I've been absolutely obsessed ever since. When I first heard this song I knew you would fuckin love that bridge

Man, you should definitely give a chance to their Inmazes album... You still have a few days before Witness is out :D
@apollolinaire26073 жыл бұрын
AOADC is so much more memorable though!
@chrisp.143 жыл бұрын
Both albums are excellent in their individual ways. I love the versatility of AOADC - Alien Shivers with its lightness, Smartfriend with its sinister feeling... But I also love the heaviness of Inmazes, especially the djenty vibe on Stray The Skies... but also the dramatic parts of the album. And "Feed The Creatures" is just epic. Anyway, after the recent album I did absolutely not expect that they'd come back with such heavy material.

Are those Metal Gear Solid sound effects for the bullet points during your review? Nice touch hahaha. Glad you dug the song, this one's a monster and I'm stoked to hear how they blended these genres so well.

I feel like this is a cop-out comment, but I fully agree with your take. These dudes keep bringing something fresh with every song! I cannot wait to hear how all these songs weave together to make the full album, especially with experimentation like this being featured. It's also amazing how their interpretation of "progressive" isn't so much technicality (which of course is there) but is a subtle exploration of genre boundary lines. I just keep being pleasantly surprised by VOLA, lol

This song definitely caught me by surprised. Super cool idea. Love that they play all the hip hop beats. The rapping actually fits really well. To me what I love about this song is how reminiscent it is with djent rhythms but stays slow and thick. Curious how it’ll fit into the album flow! Anyways, stoked for this album to drop! Ps.
