The reaction to this film has been amazing. I get to work with these young people every weekday at Archbishop Tenison's School in Lambeth and they are as adventurous, thoughtful and articulate as they come across on film. They are great advocates for how young people can be.

These young people took a leap of faith. That is the first and most difficult step when you think you are breaking into a world which is not for the likes of you. That they had such a positive experience, is testament to them and those that have influenced them

I loved this! As a high school teacher and opera singer, I often share my voice with my students, and they are always interested. But how great if they could attend a performance as these young people did! This was a wonderful teaching experience, and I hope it will continue!

Great work, Mike. I'm lucky enough to get into opera from a young age (saw my first La Traviata at 8) and can't imagine life without it. See you at the reception on Tuesday.

Wonderful! I was really moved by the reaction of these young people to such a different cultural experience - more, Michael, more!!

Opera is such a beautiful art form that truly encapsulates the human experience. There is so much nuance and intention behind every note that is sung and played. It is an honor to be a part of such beauty in performance. Amazing film!

Fantastic film. I loved the reaction of the school students to Tosca (one of my favourite operas). I'm from a different (white, northern) background but this really resonated. I denied myself opera for years because it "wasn't for the likes of working class people like me". Wish I'd discovered it sooner!

Thank you thank you thank you. I was a total tit at times at school and My English Teacher pretty much forced me to read Solzhenitsyn, Dotoyevsky and Sholokov. It allowed my horizons to open just like you did in a very profound way with these young people. Don't stop!

Thanks Vernon. You might want to read my book 'Noisy at the wrong times' about my school - which did very much what your English teacher did.

@@michaelscarface I'll look that up and now I have another, even better reason to come back to London and introduce my wife and myself to OHP. But really, keep up the outreach, some will never realise what you did for them but you will have made them bigger.

Bravo a great initiative, a hard sell because Opera is seen as white middle/upper class pursuit. But everyone should have the opportunity to experience Opera in the flesh, there is simply nothing quite like it. Of course not all Opera's are for everyone, in the same way not all popular musicians appeal to all music fans. But it has to be more accessible so younger audience can find their way into this beautiful format....

Not seen as; sold and presented as, by the fans themselves. Look at the video description as well.
