***** Frantic do lots of Learning and training for both sexes! www.franticassembly.co.uk/learn/ I think the point of this project is that often certain groups of young men are intimidated by theatre and think it's not for them, and the energy and strength of a typical Frantic production perhaps appeals to young, possibly athletic men, who maybe have never thought of setting their big toe in a theatre before. Frantic are just happening to focus on that particular segment of society. Check out "Project Aims" on their fundraising page: secure.thebiggive.org.uk/projects/view/6959/frantic--ignition • To tackle low achievement amongst young men, by equipping participants with transferable life skills and raising their aspirations. • To challenge negative perceptions of young men by showcasing their skills, experience and achievements. • To remove barriers to participation in the arts for marginalised young men. • To recruit participants from diverse backgrounds, particularly those with little or no access to creative opportunities and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The patriarchy affects men too! :)

Physical theatre isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. It’s meant to look awkward at times. It is very intrinsically conceptual
@deanwinchester58823 жыл бұрын
@@kakiytjarone8415 Yeah I know I got sent here by my drama teacher and I do enjoy watching the students develop moves from building blocks, but it still looks a bit awkward since it is improvised so quickly and there's no context or music 😅
@kakiytjarone84153 жыл бұрын
@@deanwinchester5882 it’s not a performance, it’s an exercise. You are looking way too far into the aesthetics. Physical theatre at times is supposed to have more purpose rather than aesthetics. It isn’t a dance. These exercises are meant to do just that: exercise specific aspects.
@deanwinchester58823 жыл бұрын
@@kakiytjarone8415 Thanks for the correction however I'm very drawn to aesthetics so I can't help taking these movements and recreating them in my head in different scenarios and the way I see it is different to yours so good day :)
