Hot take : I appreciate that Ez Mil was signed pero if you look at Eminems record label and most of the artist that were under it failed or had like one good album and went poof after like slaughter house ,D12 etc

But none of them had a country on their backs. Ez reaches an international level the others didn’t. Definitely a benefit for him, along with his talents.

To counter this, multiple artists who signed with Shady and their careers stalled admitted in interviews that their failure wasn’t on the label it was on themselves. And Ez is not just signed to shady, he’s signed to Shady AND Aftermath. And aftermath has many success stories, including Kendrick Lamar, Anderson Paak, Busta Rhymes as well as 50 cent who was one of the few (maybe only?) artists to sign to both labels. I genuinely think he would’ve slowly found success on his own but signing to these labels in conjunction means he has the opportunity to grow bigger than if he’s independent. And he was already with Virgin, so really he’s just swapping out a respectable but lower tier label for one that can truly mentor him.
