I’ve been listening to him since I was like 18 in 2011 and it seems as if all his fans are the kids who were of age when he came around. It’s like the new music fans who were little kids during Rocky’s come up have forgotten about him and he never gets mentioned as one of the top rappers out right now even though he still a VERY good rapper. @@Rossotto556 It is. Goosebumps, Antidote and Highest in the Room are pop songs. Sicko Mode is mainstream hiphop. Simple rap. When Travis drops a single it is sent to radio or at least he does some tactics to make sure it charts high like with Franchise and The Scotts. Rocky just randomly drops songs and they aren't marketed. So Rocky is like Tyler the Creator, basically they do what they want (creatively) but it doesn't appeal to the mainstream. Though Tyler does make mainstream songs per album now, like with Earfquake and Wusyaname.

fire video. Your title has nothing to do with whats explained in the video and actually contradicts it. His career is taking on new heights and a better state than ever before because he is working towards his goal - becoming an innovator. If his goal was to be the "hottest", be the "king of NY" or "best lyrical MC", then yes he sabotaged his career. But thats not what he's chasing. He's working towards a higher purpose which is experimenting with new sonics and merging sounds that have never been done before. He's innovating, breaking down doors and leading the way for the next young generation to come out with something totally new and fresh inspired by his bold and risky moves. That's exactly how 808's was made (one of the most revolutionary albums that shapes modern hip-hop), by experimenting with new sounds that are true to the artist itself. This was a great video and explained everything very well, just sad that you had to resort to a click-bait title. Hope your next one is just as informative and un-biased but doesn't result to using a cheap tactic like a click-bait title.

With ALLA, Rocky experimented a little with songs like L$D, and MGMT wanted to make more experimental music with Congratulations. Rocky's the goat man. His music is the future, he's always innovating. Each album he's released is so different even song to song, but they each have their own vibe it's crazy

Rocky didn’t sabotage his career. We just didn’t understand the creative process he was going through. I still believe rocky is one of the top talent out there.

Rocky recently has been trendy on the internet for his good looks. Teenage girls are obsessing over him on apps like tiktok and vsco. They also are resurfacing videos of him and Tyler the creator, and creating memes. I don’t think he has fallen off, he’s just changed from the beginning of his career and is admired as a personality as well as an artist.

It's very simple. When Yams passed the whole crew lost direction because Yams directed everyone's next move (mainly just the sound) If Rocky could link with SPG that would be an injection back to the hype of the A$AP crew

Testing is my favorite record of his, hands down. Instrumentally more interesting. Overall I like more songs on the album than other albums. Just me. A lot of the older beats sounds straight trash to me. Something you'd find from an amateur on Soundcloud. Yet he also had hits too. I dunno. Testing is just better and I like that's he was trying to experiment. When an artist finally sees that they have to grow and evolve, it's amazing. As long as they stay BRUTALLY honest to themselves and self-aware, but also stay true to themselves, then they have potential to make some incredible music and he's on that path. If he wants to, he'll become a true legend one day. Way bigger than now.

@Hellismary4 жыл бұрын
He could’ve been a huge hit maker 🤦🏾♂️ he literally had it all , that first mixtape was iconic
@axelmartinez97814 жыл бұрын
Lanier Burton he said it himself that after he recorded At long last, he stopped caring about making hits, that’s why he hates songs like wild for the night and fucking problems, I have respect for that because you know that his music is genuine and he’s not trying to makes songs to chart but rather music that he likes, a main reason why like testing because it feels genuine

long live asap is my favorite album of his by far. i think he is underrated in music. there’s a lot of controversy saying how he’s not & that he hasn’t fallen off but i think that’s in his other aspects. he is an incredible artist musically & i think that’s what he’s underrated for. i cant wait to see what he puts out musically next

Rocky visibly/image-wise will be as important to hip hop culture as Tupac was
@conwellkid4 жыл бұрын
Honestly A.L.L.A is his best work in my opinion. That psychedelic wave I wouldn't call a smart move but a wise move based on his own personal journey and I'm glad he had that control. He knows he will be chilling wealth wise in his life so if anything he gained full spectrum by dropping that mainstream ball that he held.
