Light games are worthy of discussion MORE than heavy games. Why you ask? Because the growth of boardgaming lies in these sort of things ...heavy games are pretty much exclusive to experienced gamers

One reason to have the "board" made from individual cards is it would give the option of making the game harder by removing one or more lanes..?

The board wouldn't slide if they took a page out of Catan... just make them fit together like a puzzle.

could it be played by less than 4 players? Do 2 players get more chips? Otherwise I can imagine there would hardly be any bumping someone out

You do not get more chips unless for some reason you take two player colors each which would get confusing. I will have to try it with two to see how it works. Thanks for the note -Lincoln.
