This is definitely not an introductory lecture to the hippocampus, hippocampal memory, etc. The questions of the audience rarely ask for clarification of what is being "introduced." This lecture is more like a review and maybe fill-in the blanks of the info you were missing, or ask the researcher about stuff related to the lecture.
