For those who don’t know, this special was meant to be a pilot for the tv show. However, it was found to be too expensive, so we got the animated 65 episode cartoon, while this aired on tv and was on vhs. Some voice clips of this special are used on the audio for the backpack toys and wicked cool toys versions of the teddy ruxpin talking toy

I was just about to post this, the theme song (specifically this one sung by his mother rather then the cartoon one sung by him) just filled me with emotion, I watched this thing like 100000 times as a kid. My uncle made me a tape collection of random stuff for kids and this was on it and was probably my favorite.

HA! I remember this movie!!!!!!!!! I was crazy about Teddy Ruxpin when I was a kid :D It's been YEARS since I saw this. My dad doesn't remember it but I do remember some of it. . Watch it now makes me laugh so funny! Teddy Ruxpin was a great toy and character. I feel like Im 3 years old again watching this! :D Teddy Ruxpin came out when I was about 2 or 3 years old. :D Im 32 years old now...Thanks for uploading this...it makes me feel young again!

This was originally going to be a series, but Days of Wonder discovered that it was too expensive. They ended up doing the animated series and sold this to ABC to be aired as an ABC Weekend Special. I found the characters in this version to be a little bit creepy as a kid.

My older sister and I used to watch this when we were little I even like the elements of the six Crystal's they sometimes reminds me of the elements of harmony from My Little pony friendship is magic my favorite element is kindness witch is Fluttershy's element but that's not important right now about this when I was watching the series of Teddy ruxpin I heard that the third Crystal has the power to turn things invisible sometimes I wish I were invisible because then I will go shopping anytime I want without worrying my sister or my parents unfortunately but everywhere real that would be dishonest it's just that my father and my older sister are overprotective and all I ever wanted is to be independent I wanted to be treated like every other adult but the truth is I have autism even if I did have the power of the third Crystal I would do it and because they are called The treasure of knowledge I guess I can't help but be smart inasmuch as I love Teddy ruxpin adventures I mostly like The adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle just a classic one not the newer one from prime mostly ever since I turned 13 I wanted to get smart like Rocky he's my favorite character he's not only smart he could sometimes be very sweet wouldn't it be nice if they would do the same for Rocky and Bullwinkle when they discovered magic of crystals or something? I know nothing magical happens in the Rocky and Bullwinkle show except in fractured fairy tales and ever since June Foray died I'm just glad that Tara Strong did the replacement voice for Rocky the thing is they also changed his personality too and it was horrible because they made a rocky just as ditzy as Bullwinkle and sometimes I wish they would make a better version for Rocky and Bullwinkle only I think they will call it Rocky and Bullwinkle moose mysteries or squirrel secrets? Perhaps like when Teddy and his friends found the treasure of knowledge and when Twilight Sparkle and her friends discovered the elements of harmony what is Rocky and Bullwinkle and their friends find their own crystals with some powers? That would be cool for an episode of Rocky and Bullwinkle wouldn't it?
