“The jobs brits don’t want to do” in other words, brits dont want to live with 20 other people in a flat working 80 hours a week for £1000 a month as they want to live proper life and not be used as slave labour. Also if the brits have never wanted to do these jobs how did Britain manage itself so well for so long?

Righteously, British ppl don't want to work for 1000 pounds for 12-15 h/ day - as well as Italians do not pluck tomatoes for 0.50 euro p/h etc etc etc. East and South Europe hoped they will reach the ' western wealth & salaries' once they join the EU , but: what happened? Eastern ( and Southern) Europe sees thousands and thousands heading to ' the west' and filling ' West's' labour shortages in manual & care jobs.

Sounds legit, we had Romanian doing all "the jobs the British dont want to do" for the past thousand years, nope, we didnt. Why dont we see what British "wants" and "dont want" to do down the line and invite these Romanians to come with our own free will and not shoved down our throat by the EU parliament. If we need these Romanians, we invite them, that is what an in independent country does and I think the British politicians has forgotten what being a free country is all about and is worried about the most tedious things to stick with the metaphorical leech that is the EU.

No such thing as jobs Brits don't want to do , there is however jobs that pay too low for it to be worthwhile because of wage suppression!! Through mass immigration, and it's simple companies will either sponsor foreign workers or train Brits and pay more

How do these employers know if Britons don't want to do this type of work? A job, is a job in the end. Though like others have said they would rather recruit people from Europe because it's either cheap labour or labour that is prefered over Britons. I know some foriegn companies that set up shop in the UK and then invite workers from their overseas company to work with their UK company because they don't like Britons working for them... simple as. It can all be boiled down to full on discrimination against Britons. The phrase of "Britons don't want the job" is a massive cop out over the true facts of discrimination.

I support this new proposal if it means more British people are put into work instead of claiming benefits. Its got to be worth while, for example businesses paying less than what Brits claim in benefits wont incentivise a growth in employment. Downside for businesses is more running costs to pay for higher demanding wages may force alot of businesses out of the UK. Lets hope this new points based system works otherwise a major shortage of people in work is on the cards topped with lower economic growth, higher taxes for those employed leading to poverty.

The truth is often in the middle. Certainly more workers available means lower prices can be paid. The question is if just by paying some more money they can fill all those jobs just with British workers and if this will result in more or less than the needed amount of houses being build. I wonder?
