This happened to me literally. Was saving up for a HIRM Astray Noir. But when I had enough money, I procrastinated and ended up getting a PG GP01. The price difference is just too close.

layered injection is such a fascinating molding tech like wow you really gotta take into account a lot of factors to make sure everything come together. Out of curiousity, anything in kitbashing is generally free game but are HiRM usually left alone due to price and quality?

Everything is fair game for kitbashing if you have enough experience, but for average collectors like you and me, you definitely don't want to fool around with that +$200 figure kit.

Does the pre-assembled frame hold up or does it get loose over time?

The only reason they would loosen over time is because you put them on a special jig that rotates the joints 360° for 5 days straight or change its pose into every pose imaginable everyday a couple of years. The HiRM Astray Red and all its derivatives are sturdy as fuck, arguably the best of the HiRM line so far, and are the easiest to recommend. If you ever only ever plan to get 1 HiRM kit, or just 1 expensive kit, you can't go wrong with the Astray Red.

This is *new* from Bandai and being a part of the HIRM line it has the preassembled plastic frame, Daban did their version of this a while back, but it didn't have a preassembled inner frame, it was in the style of a classic MG 1/100 release.

The HiRM Redframe was 1st released in 2018. Also, Zaku is mistaken. The gerbera straight that comes with the Power Red isn't new. It came with the 2018 HiRM Astray.

Contrary to popular belief of how complicated this kit innerframe is, this kit innerframe is very very simple. I disambled both of the arm HIRM astray noir , it very simple compared to mg nu gundam verka, or mg gm sniper 2. I keep wondering why bandai make HIRM this expensive. It just not worth it

HiRM has yet to bring out any suits that have really caught my attention. Big dumb Super-Robo arms didn’t help. Maybe something like a fully transforming Zeta Gundam Hummingbird or a G-Self

I think Bandai's lost it's mind . 200$ for this?!! Wtf?! Zd toys is putting out far superior stuff, with lightning for a third the price. The retail price is actually ¥16000 or $120 USD, not $200. So, whatever store you looked it up at is selling at scalper level prices.
