I tell all my friends that. My old band mates and anyone who will listen. Everyone who checks her out agrees. Suite Escapism In Between is the best song I know right now. It is poetry. Simply brilliant. The progressions and harmony are out of this World. It tells a story unbroken but never the same. If only we had recordings of J.S.Bach like this. It would e so wonderful to see him explain his music.

I have watched, listened to and loved hundreds of pianists in my lifetime. I have never witnessed anybody who was more a part of the piano (and vice versa) than Hiromi. She and the piano are one. The piano is a true extension of Hiromi. The word genius really falls short of describing who she is and what she does.

Wow. I went to iTunes and at risk of being "rude" (?) I would have to say that I felt that the accompaniment of the other (very talented and excellent!) musicians almost sullied the amazing work Hiromi creates on her own. Listening to this here, for instance, proves (to me anyway) that she, I feel, can & should do more SOLO work; I would SO rush out to buy an album (or three:-) of JUST HER playing ALL the parts. Period. Also, if I were a film producer, I'd hire her in a heartbeat to score many a film. Now, if not have her wear all the hats, at least feature her in a good portion of my movie where appropriate. Ms. Uehara can DRIVE emotion; indeed, with her ability to create such variation of emotion, rhythm and style, with this artist.. it's really kind of a "just ... leave her alone to PLAY... " sort of thing. Yes, a smart film producer will get her in with a copy of the raw film (as they do) and say, "OK, Hiromi... now's the time to just let loose, do what you want ....... and PLAY!! :-)) In summary?... A T-shirt or bumper sticker might say, "Less... has never been more......More!"
@jakeoflinespiano99366 жыл бұрын
Hiromi’s “Place to Be” is a solo piano album but she has since formed a trio and they create an awesome sounds together. I think each of her trio albums have a solo piece: “Haze”, “Firefly” and “Wake Up and Dream” which are each beautiful. I’m a fan of her playing with the trio though because the create some solid grooves together and unfortunately it’s just a lot harder to dance without a percussionist.

@alexwgoody10 жыл бұрын
Don't know why you'd bring up abortion. If it's related to China's one child policy, you're still way off - she's Japanese.
@altops449010 жыл бұрын
I bring it up because people are better than a choice and because abortion is theft of what could have been and I know shes not Chinese dame people have to be so controvert.
@SyncopatedProgress10 жыл бұрын
And how many people like Hiromi were wasted due to not every woman being forced to annual pregnancy? Or to switch it around a bit, how many tyrants (the ones your profile picture states should be killed) was the world spared from due to abortions? Sure, there are thought provoking arguments for and against abortion but the one you put forward was not one of them. Also, there are places to discuss the issue deeper. I would recommend those, rather than the comments on a video that has nothing to do with it.
@altops449010 жыл бұрын
With as much respect as possible, You are no one to dictate where My passions are to be expressed. If art and beauty does not provoke the deepest notion to contemplate then you too might go elsewhere to be a controvert.
@SyncopatedProgress10 жыл бұрын
Firstly: I don't, nor can I, dictate where you let your opinions be heard. I said that I would recommend looking towards other forums if you want to discuss the issue seriously. Please learn the difference. Secondly: Controvert? You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
