If Japan not launched their soft operation against Pearl Harbour you cant find this tragedy in history book. How many people have died in Pearl Harbour invasion? What will you do if your friend murder your family members but earlier he promise not to disturb anymore?

They deserved it. Their armies murdered countless innocent civilians. The Japanese were warned in the Potsdam Proclamation with the opportunity to surrender or suffer "prompt and utter destruction." Also look up the fire bombing of Tokyo that was a lot worse but no one complains about that. Do i need to mention POW's as well?

Псс, а если бы СССР сбросили такую бомбу на Берлин, это было бы оправдано? Германия устроила Геноцид в СССР, согласно вашей логике, СССР имел право убить всех берлинцев.

Japanese never used nuclear weapons you put sanctions on Japan that's the reason why they attacked pearl harbor because the US commited an act of aggression, you would be right if Japan after would have dropped an atomic bomb too, Russia will give you what you deserve. The ones who lives by the sword deserve to die by the sword, and you ha e killed so many

I feel sick, not just nauseous but a feeling of panic. How could anyone do that to another human being? They experimented on Americans before the bomb was dropped in hospitals and anyone who said anything was labeled a paranoid delusional schizophrenic, all because some nuclear physicist irradiated an entire office and everyone in it and they all got sick and he was closest so he died. The effects of radiation poisoning and just exposure were already documented. The people who died in the initial blast were lucky, the survivors suffered in agony and severe pain. I am having anxiety and feel a panic attack coming, just thinking that a human being could make the decision to do that to an entire city population of people. I know they justify themselves by saying they sacrificed those two cities to save millions of casualties and suffering on both sides when America finally made it to the Japanese homeland. Japan attacked America, Pearl Harbor was an unprovoked attack, what were they thinking? They would get away with killing a couple thousand Americans and there would be no repercussions? If it happened once before, two bombs, two cities, a few days apart. Then it will happen again, it's just a matter of when. It just feels so evil, I know it's propaganda and that's how they want you to feel instead of the potential lives saved. But it just feels wrong, bad, negative, evil. There was nothing good there, it feels like a part of humanity died when that bomb exploded. Whatever innocence was left was taken away from mankind that very instant.

At least you're smart. It was an unprovoked attack. Some people in this comment section don't understand that Japan attacked first- they had a reason but it was technically unprovoked.

Remember, people. We were not the aggressors. We were trying to end a war that OTHERS STARTED. WE (the U.S.) were the victims. We basically minded our own business, until Japan attacked us, at Pearl Harbor, without provocation. Additionally, if the U.S. had not dropped these two bombs and ended the war with Japan swiftly, due to shock and awe, then the fighting may have continued much longer and killed even more, on both sides, than those who died here. It is still a tragedy that there was such loss of civilian life, but just take that as incentive not to do stupid shit like attacking a major super power you have no hope of defeating in the first place.
