You should consider talking about short segment, long segment, total colonic, and beyond. In addition, nutrition needs: TPN/Lipids, CVLs, gTube feeds to train their villi to grow thicker/adapt faster, and depending on how far up it goes, will depend on their ability to hydrate and get all the nutrients they need. My son has TCHD++, with only 35cm of small. His jejunostomy is permanent.
