Hello Nurse Katherine :) CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is so awesome. I know you have been watching my videos for a long time now....so it's so great to hear you passed. My videos will be right here for you when you take NCLEX-RN. Best wishes and Merry Christmas to you!
@tiffanyam1364 жыл бұрын
It is amazing that you added information about the "freezing it". When I took NCLEX they had a SATA about what the nurse should do if a pt w/ Parkinson disease freezes up and I had NO CLUE at all that this happens to a pt w/ PD. You do not see those types of questions or even in rationales on "NCLEX Study Test Preps".

TRACKING improvement FIRST STEP: a UPDRS test, a push test with video, a walking and turning test with video, a talking test with video and possibly a writing test with video, standing from seated on hard back chair video with your arms crossed. These videos are kept on file to be used for comparison with future videos. This is a fairly accurate means of documenting improvements over time as it is actually fairly easy for some people to not realize how much they have improved over time.

And 6 years have passed and no new disease altering treatment has been found. We are still where we were 6 years ago. The trials for new drug are too slow and the trials regime needs to change for diseases like Parkinsons disease. Re-purpose drug trials should be half the length because we already know the safety of such drugs.

RegisteredNurseRN My Dad has Parkinson’s. At one time he was in Mensa and was a Director at the largest telco in the US, now he is barely able to speak. It is a terrible disease and what’s scary is no one knows what causes it. What if it’s the way our water is treated? What if it’s genetically modified grain that is now in most of our food? What if it’s pollution of some kind? What if it’s caused by sugar? Scary
