Hi folks - Literally went into hiding for the first 12 hours this video was up but I just want to say Thanks for all the kind words and positivity and stuff. I'm really glad that people seem to have enjoyed this. I will begin building the next series - Beyond the Dark Portal, episodically, over on my channel fairly soon. It's a big book so it's gonna take a while but I'll get it done eventually and then we can do this again. If Hiru's ok with that, obviously!

I find it quite fascinating that Teron Gorefiend, shadow council's member and first death knight, was actually loyal to the Horde and did what he could to save Orcs, didn't follow Gul'dan's betrayal, and even died to protect Nerzhul whom he thought was Orcs' last hope. The events of the Second War would be incredibly awesome to see in true cinematic spectacle. In particular, the battle at the foot of Blackrock Mountain would be truly amazing to see. Additionally, there's a lot of moving parts to the Second War to make it feel "genuine." I dream about The Second War expansion via Caverns of Time since reading of "Tides of Darkness" in 2010 All about it is absolutely great
@Jessethoth4 ай бұрын
It's worth mentioning that the novel World of Warcraft: Tides of Darkness is a retelling of Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness to make it fit better with Warcraft III and WoW canon as WC2 was a 1995 real time strategy game and narrative wasn't as high priority in it some of it's missions' stories take place in spite of one another as alternate outcomes. The novel retells every mission in a more linear way that's far more canon and fits key elements of the game's mission stories in a way that allows BOTH campaigns to technically be canon omitting a few events that would completely disrupt canon. Like in the last Horde mission you DESTROY Lordaeron but obviously that wouldn't be canon so you get a slight alteration where Lordaeron is besieged but repels said siege for example. Really good read and a great game. There is also a World of Warcraft: Beyond the Dark Portal which retells Warcraft II's expansion Beyond the Dark Portal.

@IVPixel even WoW was okay. In vanilla there wasn't a world threatening villain. You had amorphous threats like Ragnaros sure. But Onyxia and Nefarian were really more of a "Stormwind's problem". Ahn Qiraj was the first time we saw a big threat, and it was played up and done rather well enough. Naxxramas didn't seem like a world wide threat either. Just a Lordaeron threat, an amorphous threat of the scourge getting stronger. All the zones had their self contained stories. Wasn't until TBC when ... I don't even really know. Illidan, even then wasn't really a threat to anyone in particular.
