@deviparamisiriwardana9314 - I applaud you for writing such a thoughtful and truthful comment about some facts with regard to how some parents in Sri Lanka treat their children. Only a very few people in Sri Lanka think the way you do 👍👍👍. Most Sri Lankan parents think they have done a huge favour to their children by bringing them to this world and therefore they have the right to abuse them. This is a very serious problem in SL. If the kids speak up against the parental abuse, some ignorant people in Sri Lankan society will downplay their feelings and call them ungrateful children. That is one of the reasons why Sri Lanka has failed to become a developed country. In a developed country children should have rights and should be protected by law. Where are the laws in Sri Lanka??? Why can't the education system in SL educate the entire nation on how to treat children? In any country children are the future and the backbone of any nation. The buddhist monks in SL only preach about "how parents should be treated". What about the treatment for the children? Such a sad situation. 😭😭😭😩😩😩. I am so glad I left SL many years ago because it is impossible for many Sri Lankans to learn how to respect children.
