If you are told to evacuate an area, please just comply and evacuate instead of asking “why”. You can ask why after everyone is safely away from the area... Had this same thing happen during a building fire, like seriously people are way too focused on wanting to know what’s going on vs complying with directions (for their own safety) and letting first responders do their job.

I agree, 🤦🏻♀️ it wasn’t like some stranger was telling him to come into some shabby building. They were telling everyone to seek shelter. A few people, the recording, the hotel owner (which he was able to recognize as a hotel owner), and the police, why question? Why be stubborn? Run find shelter and wait and see. Eventually the reason will revealed itself. If not, afterward go and ask the police. They put their lives on the line, a little trust can go a long way.

Agreed, albeit in several cases that do not get far and wide attention, there are false alarms. Some areas "drill" so much that they become desensitized to when it's the real deal. Schools i attended decades ago would do tornado, earthquake, fire, and terror attack drills in the monthly. When a real fire broke out once, all of that training was shot to hell. I gotta say, it didn't sound like he was that smart. He sees cop cars everywhere, he hears a recording warning people to stay away and admits he thought it was the cop car doing it, then he is confronted by an actual cop who tells him to evacuate the area and his first instinct is to ask the cop, why do I have to evacuate? He was curious and was actually walking toward what he thought was the action despite all the very obvious warnings.
