They did it to get permission to renovate the "historic" parts of downtown. More tourists = more money and with this bombing now they can tear down and build up all they want. At least no one got hurt.

@@illumination101 That was due to the explosion being outside of the AT&T hub in Nashville, it took out service for about 1/3 of the country. There was significant damage to the AT&T building seen to the left of the RV which required generators and water pumps brought in to restore.

A random thought that popped in my head was "What if we get blown up right here" & knowing intrusive thoughts are just that I didn't entertain the idea. i live 30 minutes away from Nashville and it was just crazy waking up to find out there was a bomb that went off then the internet went out a few hours later that lasted for a few days, thankfully no one died except for the guy that set the bomb off. still can't believe this happened 5 months later 😩

This is kind of an unusual story. . I don't recall hearing this on the news. but apparently, a guy named Anthony Quinn Warner made the bomb himself in the RV, a tip from his friend to the police could have prevented this insane act. the Police had been warned about Warner: More than a year earlier, a friend of his had told police he was making a bomb in a recreational vehicle in his yard. the motive is unknown.

I live out by Percy Priest Lake, which is about 9 miles from 2nd Avenue South (the epicenter of the explosion for those not familiar with Nashville) and I remember feeling the ground shake that morning. It literally woke me up. I'm used to feeling minor quakes from explosives being used for construction close to where I live. But never that early in the morning, and never that strong. I also knew something was wrong when my internet died completely literally a few seconds after the quake. Im on fiber, and that is literally the only time in 3 years my internet went out. About 3 minutes later, I turn on the TV and all the local channels were already doing Special Reports.

Say you buy a 1TB drive for 4k video, you would run out of space after about a few hours but in 720 it could run for days. It costs too much to upgrade and it’s not worth it for small companies

Never will forget hearing a boom go off when I was asleep I didn’t think anything of it and then I woke up and head to my parents house for Christmas and I called my aunt to tell her merry Christmas and my uncle asked me if I heard about the explosion at the time I was going from I24 to I65 to where you can see the skyline and I was like out of a movie just a Column of smoke rising above the Batman building and I remember telling my uncle no but I have a feeling I’m looking right at it, I got to my parents house and they had it on the news, they ran and gave me a hug and was saying they are so glad I’m ok so I was really confused and then I looked up and saw the tv and I kinda just fell over in shock, was a hard day.

it's weird to think somebody this crazy would actually do something like this in a public area, but also be I guess nice enough to play a recorded warning to evacuate the area over an intercom.. Most bombers or suicide bombers try and kill/injure as many people as they can with them for some sick reason therefore would never give warnings to the surrounding area to evacuate

I heard from an investigator for this that the outward facing windows on the surrounding buildings broke inwards because the explosion was so powerful that it sucked in the air from the surrounding buildings.

i feel so lucky, that particular christmas morning is the only time I've spent on base at Ft. Campbell--celebrating with my dear friend and getting a sense of relief by being on base which they shut down during this debacle. Afterwards, I got lost trying to drive back to Nashville because i had no service. the amount of panic that i swerved is an insane coincidence, I've been here since 2017 and have only left Nashville for that specific date. Crazy. Lost my house in the 2020 tornado tho, u win some u lose some lol. 💀

During the cell service knock out, my neibors allowed me and my family to use there wifi. my dad was called on scene that morning. So, waking up w/o my dad was heart breaking because i was worried. I was getting every update known to man from him while he was down there. During investigation, they were called to Kid Rocks residence because of some rumors. Turns out right under the RV was the main AT&T hub, the motive was to knock that out and destroy it reason why all service for at&t went out.

Watch this with the underatanding it was all a ploy. The reason for this controlled demolition was a builder was unable to buy the historic buildings on 2nd ave in order to demolish the city block and build a skyscraper. Coincidently the buildings unable to be bought out just weeks before were the only buildings destroyed. This all from a lifelong Nashvillian. It's now only a matter of time before one of the usual gigantic corporations just so happens to begin building a tower/skyscraper in this area.
