Thank you dear bishop when I was 12 years old you gave me sacrament of confirmation and received communion. Now 27 you gave me and my baby in the womb your blessing last July. My due is near and I can’t stop crying every time I remember you because I couldn’t believed God and Blessed Mother Mary is so good to me that I was able to see you this year before you left. One of very few holy bishops. Thank you for conditionally confirming me at Hampton in 1990. I haven't had a lot of good memories of this place of worship over the years, but at least I can look back fondly on the day this dear bishop administered to me the Sacrament of Confirmation, in the Traditional Latin Rite and for that, I will always be eternally grateful. Truly, he was a very saintly man and a true example of Christ on earth!! A vast contrast to today's bishops. Bp Tissier will always be remembered in my prayers. A true shepherd according the heart of Our Blessed Lord! His charity was palpable. I too, only met him once, but i will never forget. I was standing in the vestibule as he was processing out from Mass at semiinary in Winona and he came over to me and blessed our firstborn baby boy Ignatius i was holding. It meant so much to me. I didnt ask him to do this and for a bishop to go out of his way to do this was, to me, incredible! He had such a gentle loving manner and was such a warrior for Christ and the faith as far as opposing modernism etc. I hope to meet him again in heaven someday. We are expecting our 10th child now and we are so so grateful for these good bishops who have helped to guard traditional sacraments and preserve our faith for our families!!!

We only have 2 bishops left. These brave holy men faced persecution from the Vatican for saving the Traditional Latin Mass. The priestly fraternity of SSPX (society of St. Pius X) is the only reason I went back to church after 41 years. The modern church had no spiritual benefit for me and I never looked back after my marriage in 1980. My soul is on the path to salvation because of brave priests and bishops like this man. Archbishop LeFebvre started this society and should be canonized for saving Tradition.

He was here in Fort Wayne at St. John Fisher several times to administer Confirmation. Last year he was here but we didn't have the priests' bathroom finished at our new church so he stayed at my house. I was very reluctant because I am not good if there is some kind of health emergency. But I accepted to have him stay at my house a couple of days. His crozier was stolen in Europe so I made him a wooden crozier which he took with him to Chicago and beyond. He wanted me to make it so it could be broken down into two pieces so he could take it on the plane but I didn't have time to make the mechanism and it would not have been too sturdy. We went out to the park one day and he was so interested in our local weed flowers and trees. After all he was a trained biologist. He was very nice and patient with my poor French. We talked about the French expedition through here in 1749 and he had a great uncle who was French military back then and also he was a Savoyard which is the native province of the great St. Francis DeSales. A plus tard, Monsignor. Requiescat in pace.

The first Tridentine Mass I ever attended was the Pontifical Mass of Mons. Tissier de Mallerais here in the Philippines last August, when he also confirmed a friend of mine.
