His Goalkeeper WON THE BALON D'OR?! (FM Lately)

Having goalkeepers on set pieces is something I've never considered. I love keepers like Higuita and Ceni that often score goals however doing it in FM is something I've never thought to do. I might try it in a save where I have a super team so I don't need to worry about conceding from missed penalties or free kicks.

I Had a Really Great Story-Line play out but it makes me feel sorry for the Player. I Played as Galatasaray and I signed Lucca First Season (FM21 or 22 Cant Remember) I used a 4-1-5 Tactic that was OP and didn't really think much, I just enjoyed making Turkish players Look like Legends... I Placed Lucca on Free Kicks and Pens and Front Post on Corners and Lucca was a Monster, it was a full Turkish Team with Lucca in it and Lucca Would Score 100 Goals every season and when we won are First Champions League i felt like was Lucca the GOAT, Crazy Stats 100 Goals a Season with 40 Assists no one could come close... Until a few years in while Lucca was 26-27 a Young 15 Year old Turkish ST Called Gokhan Appeared... Instant Starter the Kid was Insane. While Lucca was Destroying People and Winning Balon Dors Left right and Center a Little Turkish Boy Came 2nd in the Ballon Dor at the age of 16... and 17, 18, 19, 20...I keeped Lucca for Years even into his Late 30's as it was the Turkish League and he was still so OP and not slowing down. While Doing the save I only really cared about Lucca but later I came I realise the Kid at 18 or something Won The World Cup WITH TURKEY and Golden Boot.... This Kid was the next GOAT but I was blinded by Lucca. I Quit the Save to go to the Next FM after many Fun Years at Galatasaray but Gokhan was 29 Years of Age coming 2nd in Every Year nearly his whole Career.. Insane stats like 70 Goals and 70 Assists (The Tactic was OP and we were the best team in the league by far) But I always Think to myself... What if I had just for 1 Year Let Gohkan Take Pens and FK... Let the Kid win a Ballon Dor... I Know its just a Game but honestly my Favourite Story Line every. The GOAT Lucca Destroying Every Record while a Young Turkish Boy Carrying his Nation and Always being in the shadow of his Mentor. (I also had a LB and RB in the First Youth Intake that I had the whole save who I also Love but they don't have much of a story apart from being The Most Loyal Players Ever)

tf a goalkeeper Balon D'OR winner how?????? *Spoiler* Ok, they set it up to make sure the Goalkeeper could get assists and goals. The keeper ended up with 29 goals and 60 assists.

Cannot deny, I'm actually more impressed by the level of dedication the guy had to it, the training setups all the way to the dropping him for hard games etc, it's way beyond my level of attention span I will happily admit

Could be an interesting series to see how many seasons it takes you to win a Ballon D'or with each position group. (Attacker, Midfielder, Defender, Goalie). Would probably have to start with a second-division club so that you couldn't just sign someone immediately!

Very console-friendly UI on the surface, which is fine as long as the depth you get on the PC version is still there Of course they're going to try & appeal to the console generation more as it's a bigger target audience, I just hope they don't forget about us PC players

Removing the Create a Club, Fantasy Draft, and Versus Mode is really bad for console. Now you basically only have the options of a normal save and an online one. With the lack of depth the console version has, SI has to make the console version a lot better, and they need to add the editor.

I hope the FIFAe World Cup won't be the same as EA's ESport World Cups. EA lets people pick any players even if they're not from the country that they're managing. I know letting everyone choose whatever players they want will make it more competitive but if you support Brazil it'd be a lot more impactful to see Neymar scoring a goal instead of having Bellingham score a goal. It'd be like the real World Cup. Not all teams have an equal chance of winning but it's still interesting to see the upsets and see the titans of football clash. It'd also be interesting to see how managers deal with the cards they're dealt instead of everyone having only meta players in their team. It'd mean different tactics too as people will have to try fit in the best players their country has into their starting 11 and minimize the weaknesses in their squad.

I used to play another game that was rng heavy. They started doing a championship (ie esports) and it turned me off the game. They would do events that forced you to watch the championships taking place 12 hrs away. I just want to play the game.

Early doors on the screenshots of the new UI but personally not a fan of what we have seen so far. I'm not a fan of mobile gaming and simplifying things. I like how the FM 'menus's are now but change is a weird one. Kev was saying he thinks it should be the same over all platforms but I disagree. People play mobile/ console games if they cant afford or prefer consoles. PC shouldn't be simplified down to mobile standards. But like I said, early doors, I hope its far from the pics we seen.

Not a fan of the new look. Seems like they are pushing console over PC. I’m old enough to remember when the Xbox took over gaming and had to watch so many great PC games be butchered to fit the console market. Hopefully they prove me wrong.
