Mets have been the best team in MLB since June and took care of Brewers and Philly. Bring on LA or SD!

And Michael Kay doesn't want to admit the Mets payroll is only the highest because two pitchers that are not even on the team are still getting paychecks

Love the run the Mets are on. But I can't see them beating the Padres or Dodgers in 7 games. If it was only 5 I'd be more confident. Hopefully I'm wrong

Lindor became the leader of the Mets. He has the talent, the playoff experience, he has his center with his family and when the Mets were struggling he Called the players only meeting and got the rest of the team on board. He won't win the MVP. Ohtani will with his stats but without Ohtani the Dodgers still make the playoffs, and likely still win the division. Without Lindor the Mets have a losing record and a fourth place finish.

Agreed. It's called the "MVP", not "Best Stats Award". Anyone who doesn't think Lindor should win doesn't appreciate the spirit of the award in my opinion.

Mendoza is a class act. As a Yankee fan it feels good to see him achieve the success he surely deserves. Until we squash him of course

As a Yankee fan, the Mets look like they’re going to take it this year

Well, I don't think the Mets overpaid with Lindor's contract. What you have to factor is in the credibility that such a player brings to the organisation. A guy like Lindor makes your franchise much more appealing to prospective free agents and trade targets. And I don't think he's unperformed on the field, either. He's arguably the best defensive SS in baseball AND he's a lock to pretty much hit 30 HR, 100 RBI, 30 SB. And he's a leader and good example to the other players. He is the anchor piece in the whole puzzle.

The only meaningful difference between this Mets team and the "World-Series-Or-Bust" teams of '22 and '23 are the absence of Verlander, Scherzer, DeGrom and expectations.

Lindor is great yet fans forget he had his issues. From the dumb thumbs down debacle to his big personality and colored hair like Reyes styling than hitting great. He became a great leader now and is humble and did hits like an MVP.

"Big personality"? 🤔 Having personality is an issue? Having *dyed hair* is an issue? 😂 The thumbs-down thing was immature, but I blame Kevin Pillar and Javy Baez more for that, since they were veterans who were supposed to be setting a better example.

@@jamesmorseman3180 Did Mets fans forget the thumbs down thing? How much they hatred him for that? Yet he became a better leader from that. he wasnt this humble player all his career.
