That would definitely be a interesting series. It's not about give a excuses about his actions but about explaining how one man can go from being an artist wanting to dream and then becoming one of the worst men in history. It's kinda like the joker story. Edit: People are afraid of humanizing hitler. I get it who wants to humanize a man responable for the holocaust but what people forget is that HE was human just like us. People aren't born bad, they become it by the environment they grow up in. Btw awesome video as always, I wish I could support u guys but I ain't go no job lol, hard times. Take care of yourself.

There are a few series about hitlers rise to power, but not any from his early life. It would be a good series to watch because it’s important to understand that people like Adolph Hitler weren’t inhuman monsters but actual living breathing people, and it’s important to understand them so we can prevent them from forming and rising to power again.

04:03 Depending on who Alois's father was. Alois's mother Maria never revealed anyone who the father was, so Alois was just written up as llegitemate and Johann Georg Hiedler became Alois's step-dad after marriage, making him and Klara cousins by marriage. Johann was officially recognized as Alois's biological father.....20 years after Johann Georg had died and 30 years after death of Alois's mother, so they weren't there to dispute or confirm it. While he was living though, Johann Georg never recognized Alois as his biological son. If he truly was Alois's biological father, Klara and Alois were first cousins once removed. There's actually lot of circumstancial evidence that Alois's father might be Johann Georg's brother, Johann Nepomuk. He went trough awfull lot of trouble to back Alois up in his claims to prove that Alois was Johann Georg's son, so that Alois could legally inherit him. That seems real out of character thing to do for just a child out of wedlock, considering what the attitudes during that time were. Not that it paticulary helps his case: now Klara would be Alois's half-niece.

Fact: After Hitler came to power he ordered that his family doctor (who had also treated his mother), a Jew, be put under special protection by the Secret Police. This meant that he and his wife were not to be harassed or abused in any way and could keep their house and property until the emigration to America was completed. They had no issues receiving documents or getting on the ship. No other Jew in the town the doctor lived in received this special status.

I am German and what I learned is that if ppl are not cared for, no mater the system they are going to demonstrate and rebel to an extreme, monarchy would have worked if they treated the ppl right, every system would have if it allowed every person to have basic human needs like house or apartment, food e.t.c.. Another thing is is that desperate times call for desperate measures, they should have known better then to make a already relatively poor country after a war pay a huge amount of money that it could never have. It was bound to fail. On top of that they made a many solders workless and they humiliated Germany. I don’t understand what was going on in there mind creating the treaty of Versailles. The only thing it did was damage.

The family doctor was Jewish. How much Hitler was attached to his mother is shown by the fact that when the Crystal Night and the persecution of Jews began, Hitler sent his bodyguard to escort the doctor to safety. As a sign of gratitude for fighting for his mother for the rest of her life. In the end, he allowed him to escape to Switzerland.

You definitely have a point about the selective outrage. It's insane to me people buy/display Confederate Flag shit. Can you fucking imagine if someone in Germany flew a Swastika flag and was like "What? It's Heritage not Hate." Plus at least modern German government goes above and beyond to make ammends to European Jews. The American government will NEVER do anything meaningful like that for black people, which is a shame.

as a german, i think i can say: the young Hitler was a good person with an big heart and dreams, he loved his mother so lot, when his mother became sick, he had his own bed in the hospital. But i don't know, why he became a murder in his second life. If you think a man, who is emotional or not hard, is not a man, you don't have understand what it means to be a man. Maybe, Hitler break with his old life, at the moment when he understand, he can't survive with his "not hard" charakter.

EDIT: There's also another movie called "Valkyrie" that's really good, and is actually pretty historically accurate. It's about _German_ military offers trying (and failing, obviously) to assassinate Hitler, which happened historically a bunch of times.

Hitler: The Rise of Evil was a miniseries made for CBS in the early 2000s about Hitler's younger days. There have also been three movies made about Hitler's death. Of these Downfall is by far the best. If you don't want to deal with subtitles, Hitler: The Last Ten Days isn't as good, but it's in English. The Bunker is certainly depressing enough, but I didn't like a lot of the casting choices. What sets it apart from the others is that it's told from Albert Speer's perspective.

People marrying cousins weren't unusual back in the days because there was a desire to keep hereditary property within the family which of course then also meant a higher risk of hereditary diseases and other health problems in childrens but at the time people didn't shit because medical science was inchoate and infant mortality was really high anyway. Today marrying a relative as close as a cousin in Western world and other developed countries is generally considered wrong/disgusting because better knowledge of people. However its still really common in most of the developing countries where education is low and old traditions are still kicking.

3:59 Klara was the granddaughter of the farmer Johann Nepomuk Hüttler, whose brother Johann Georg Hiedler was the stepfather of Adolf Hitler's father Alois Hitler. In 1876 - years after the death of Hiedler and Alois Hitler's mother Anna Maria Schicklgruber - Hüttler arranged for Hiedler to be registered as Alois' biological father. Historians consider Hiedler and Hüttler to be the most likely candidates for the biological paternity of Alois Hitler. Klara Pölzl was therefore the daughter of a cousin of Alois Hitler (with fatherhood Johann Georg Hiedler), or his niece (with fatherhood Johann Nepomuk Hüttler). In that case, Adolf Hitler's mother would also have been his cousin.
