also not touched on here is Hitler and Benito both told Japan not to attack America till they were done with Africa and Europe.....but Japan was bare on raw resources ie oil mostly but also the ability to make weapons they had to attack USA to keep us out of the war. But like the video said they only focused on the ships and not the infrastructure. That led to the brutal Pacific Theatre that as a USMC vet i feel robbed of, yes the war in Europe was important but without the real context of why the Nukes were dropped it loses the meaning.....the studies showed that over 3 million people both military and civilian would die if the Allies invaded mainland Japan, so Woodrow Wilson who hated the idea said do it and dropped the bomb on Hiroshima expecting Japan to surrender and they kept going, thats why and when Nagasaki happened. It was to show Russia we have this so stop, but mostly to save more lives than were lost in the blasts.

@Sinvare4 жыл бұрын
@@xGoodOldSmurfehx I agree that people do not look at the situation in its entirety. The Japanese Military leadership was content with hundreds of thousands of Soldiers and civilians dying to try and war down the Americans and get a better peace deal. My Japanese teacher in college was 7 at the end of WW2. We asked her towards the end of the semester about her thoughts on the atomic weapons. She thinks it saved hundreds of thousands of Japanese lives. She was training to use a bamboo spear in school to attack American soldiers. The older girls were being taught to flirt to get close then blow up a grenade. She said it was only the threat of the bombs, which could easily destroy the leadership not Soldiers or civilians who would buy time. It was the Bombs that gave the Emperor what he needed to push enough of the military factions to agree with the civilian factions and accept the surrender. They would have fought on for months otherwise. The number of Japanese deaths would easily eclipse the 2 bombings, so the bombs had to just shorten the war by weeks or days. More Japanese soldiers starved to death in garrisons than were killed by Americans in combat. All those isolated garrisons that were skipped and blockaded by the Americans did not have the supplies to last months or years. In places with civilian populations they would often take food and supplies once they ran out so they could eat. This caused many deaths and hardship among civilian populations. TL/DR The bombs sped up the end of the war enough to save many Japanese lives, let alone Chinese, Soviet, American and various civilian populations.
@Sinvare4 жыл бұрын
Japan had about 2 years worth of fuel when they attacked the US, but it was their best shot, unless the US stayed out of the wars entirely. If the Japanese had lost no ships, completed all of their planned warships and managed to destroy every single US military ship in all oceans on December 7th, they would have been unable to match the fleet the US did build in the 24 months after Pearl Harbor. That is not even taking into account that the US produced more than 2/3s of all oil, and 70% of the world's refinery capacity. Refined fuels give more power but take more oil to make. Refined fuels are especially useful for aircraft. 100 octane fuel gives 13% more power than 87 octane. That means faster aircraft, heavier take off limits etc...

90% of the German troops were on the eastern front. In the video, you can hardly see the USSR at all. But it was there that the German army was destroyed. And with Japan in the end, it is not shown at all that the Mandzhur army in China was destroyed by the USSR. And in fact, this is what caused Japan to capitulate. Not nuclear bombs. About the horror of the bombing, let them tell about Dresden, for example. The consequences were far greater.

The Battle for Moscow. 2. The Battle of Stalingrad. 3 the battle of Kursk . Read separately about the siege of Leningrad. The city did not give up for 872 days . To compare: Denmark in 6 hours, Holland in 5 days, Belgium in 18 days, Poland in 27 days, France in 42 days. Also read about the losses of countries in the Second World War of the USSR - 27 million people. Nazi Germany about 7 million, France 0.8 million, England 0.4 million USA 0.4 million . I hope these facts will make you think a little bit, is it so that 5.5 million Germans just froze in the USSR

2/3 of all the allied forces were British not American, so this is a little propagandised by an American. The atom bomb was also a British creation in large part and American planes couldn't carry them. British planes were more advanced and were going to do the mission. The Americans wanted it to be an American plane dropping an American bomb. They then took months to develop a plane to carry the bomb. At the last minute, a British Lancaster bomber was stood down. British aviation technology was more advanced than the US until the late 1970's. The UK was the main defence for the entire West with their Vulcan planes that could avoid radar detection, and in two training exercises over 2 years had penetrated US defences (much to US's embarrassment.). They ordered this to be kept quiet and classified. This was only declassified in the 1990's!

Если учить историю по подобным мультикам,как этот,то потом появляются идиоты,как некоторые японцы,которые начинают думать,что ядерные бомбы на них сбросил СССР,а не США. If learn history from cartoons like this, then brainwashed idiots appear, like some japanese, who begin to think that the USSR dropped nuclear bombs on them, not the USA.

Just like Putin-russia ONCE AGAIN experienced in term being at war ,individuelly/solely,when invading or having a battle with a sovereign country,i.e. humiliation and embarrassment after humiliation and embarrassment and top of an overstrected unsuitable spending and overstumation of its own nation/or military strength,particularly in conventional terms. This time it's Ukraine and not Finland or the Imperial Japan...or even way way more embarrassing not even a 1980's Afghanistan...Lol...Whatta you know?..🤟😅🙃✌️👌💎🤦🌈

For some reason, the author covers in detail the medium-scale operation in the Ardennes, but a much larger, key battle of the war for Stalingrad in one not intelligible sentence. He did not mention the Battle for Kursk at all - the largest counter tank battle in the entire history of the planet did not mention (where the USSR won). Or one of the largest operations of the Soviet troops to capture Berlin with a million German soldiers in the city and its outskirts.
