This is just incredible, as usual! I’ve played guitar over 25 years and my favorite guys out there are guys like govan, Marco, Timmons, Johnny hiland, etc. I put Michael right up in that grouping in terms of what it makes me feel when he plays. He is a very soulful player, is able to evoke emotion in the guitar without having to play a zillion notes and sweep pick etc. I get that’s a whole different style then this, but when I hear something being played this type of playing will always be something I want to listen to over and over, vs all the other fancy scales and super fast shred. This is a masterpiece tho, my only gripe is that it’s not longer. I honestly think these videos of Mike’s would do way better view wise if you extended it 2-3 min per song. But no one would complain if it was 4-5 min long.

Are u sure that the solo is not inspired by the Guthrie’s solo on Regret#9 of Steven Wilson?
@Slashixuz
@Slashixuz 4 ай бұрын
I am not hating this one, I just don't think it is even close to comparable. Of course I meant also the fact it did not remind me of it. There were a few nice moments here but.. there could be an essay written about how well composed regret 9 is but unfortunately I think it is not possible to somehow prove or measure feeling, which is also from another world in guthrie's hands.

Great playing and I love his tone. That looks a lot like my 1961 Stratocaster, except that one is 70s given the headstock. What year is it?

A good melody, but the component pieces lack a gradual or smooth transitioning.... The dynamics remains flat from the beginning to the end. It starts of well but does not carry a story of a diversion note used in between......
