After returning the two Hisense, I've bought two others that works great. We already had a Gree that was older than the Hisense. It's still going strong and is a work horse. To replace the two hisense we bought two window box LG's and the too work phenomenally. This has been a super humid year. It's rained most of the summer in 80-90 heat and never once have we had to drain any of them. We moved from the high desert (no humidity). The hisense were used in the high desert and had to be drained ever hour and ahalf or so. Biggest pieces of trash. We still don't know how to dispose of them.

Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzbin.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

Our unit showed E5 last night for the first time in 2 years, it'd been working perfectly and didn't need draining. We drained it just before the water reached our plugged chargers, which would've been very dangerous! The unit didn't display the error after draining, but it seems like it's running very "forced" now. The bottom part feels extremely hot to the touch as well and heat is emanating from it, I'm very concerned now. What could be the issue here? And can we still run it? we'd been using most of the day & night this summer. It's been very hot and some days, quite humid too, but it'd been just fine until last night. The heat wave is still going in CA, we need it.

Hi, 1)All of Hisense Portable AC are designed to be 'waterless' in COOLING MODE, and won't require draining under normal usage conditions. In COOLING MODE, condensed water will be evaporated outside though the air exhaust hose . 2) If the environment humidity is extremely high, the water container goes full, the screen will display E5. After draining the water, the unit can work again. 3) The upper drain port can be used to drain water continuously (attach a extra hose to the upper drain port) in DRY MODE.

I had to put mine on top pf bricks to raise it up a bit and then I used a cake baking pan and made it much easier since that had more depth to it. Take the panels off your ac unit and clean the moldy dust off of your condenser coils. This should make a night and day difference.

Your portable acs are a terrible product. "Waterless" when used under normal conditions? Im assuming the normal conditions are for people with barely any humidity... what a joke.
